This is one of the top fights I want to see in boxing. After Usyk vs Fury 2, and Beterbiev vs Bivol, I'm not sure there is a more attractive fight out there. The clash of styles would be beautiful.

Kambo's not top 5, maybe not top 10. He had the night of his life against Lopez, the stars aligned. Good on him for disrupting the program..... but he's not up there talent wise. It'd be hard to pretend otherwise

Sure he's up there with the guys Loma has beaten at LW, except for maybe Linares. Linares gave Loma a much better fight on the other hand.

Loma v Davis is a huge huge fight to make.

Yes 7 years too late if you're a Loma fan.

But right now it's arguably the biggest fight in boxing that hasn't been agreed (Usyk v Fury 2, Beterbiev v Bivol are both signed) it's certainly up there with Canelo v Benavidez.

I think Lomachenko can win this. The size difference isn't too great if there even is one. Davis beats bigger men easier than Lomachenko does because he has the great equalizer. I don't think Lomachenko will give him many openings to score a KO.

    Very interesting fight.

Anyone who thinks 37 isn't past prime in sport, let alone in the smaller divisions of boxing whether reflexes and speed are highly important, is not being honest with themselves.

They are Ring Magazine's #1 and #2 lightweights. The fight is definitely meaningful to me. Six or seven years ago Loma wins this but Davis hadn't reached his prime. (I'm not sayin that is why Loma would have won.) Now, Loma is on the other side of his prime. This would have been really great in 2021.

Exactly. ESPECIALLY in the 135 division. 37 is up there.

Loma lost to Lopez and Haney. He was knocked down by Linares.

    Tank KOes prime Loma.

Just depends on the individual. Zhang is looking pretty good.

No. The lower weight classes require those reflexes that Heavyweights don't need to rely on. Loma being Loma it is possible that he can pull it off, but the reality is that the ageing process doesn't sleep.

Agreed, Tank vs Loma is the definition of a super fight. A historically meaningful title unification between two of the best P4P boxers around, with big money involved.

The only people complaining are Loma fans who are scared their man will be knocked out, otherwise I can't see how any neutral could complain about this fight.
