What stops Fury from going down in weight to the Wlad fight level?

It was 246 lbs for the Wlad fight, 262 lbs for Usyk

    It's 16 lbs, around 7 kilograms.

Enough time to lose it and get accustomed to the new weight IMO.

He should do it IMO. His size advantage would be enough anyway, while on paper he should get massive benefits in speed, mobility and stamina.

Yet I'm not hearing anything about it from his camp, nor from the boxing community really.

    Why?

Do you think he should go in like in Wilder 2 and go for the KO kronk style?

Fury’s love handles which he seems to be incapable of getting rid of look like two huge balloons filled with water. I’m betting there’s 12 to 14 pounds between the two of them.

If that was the case he'd have lipo or use targeted fat removal freezing.

That lighter weight isn't his style anymore.

The reason he came in so light last fight was overtraining sale as against wallin under Ben which was rightly called out by his dad and others with the move to sugarhill.

Do you think he should go in there heavy and go for the KO?

He could likely get down to 246 with the 3 Ds:
    Dedication, discipline, and desire.
And I don't buy the argument anymore that extra fat weight helps some fighters.

It’s his only chance. Problem is after he tries that and fails Fury himself will get knocked out in the 9th or 10th round.

Getting lipo would sideline him for a bit. It’s invasive and requires months for the skin and body to recover 100%. Carrying around those two heavy balloons on each side can’t be good for him.

How about trying to do that weighing 246 lb? What extra power do those ass baloons give him really? It might have been advantageous with gassing Wilder out in clinches but Wilder is Wilder. I'm inclined to agree with people saying Usyk is able to just not let him do that.

At 246, Fury knew he could box around Wlad. 246 against Usyk? No chance Fury out boxes Usyk at any weight. He needs to use his weight and lean and wrestle with usyk to take his legs, then go for the ko. Still think Usyk will be too slippery for Fury to weigh him down with out getting tagged with shots.

There is very little advantage to being fat.
There is a disadvantage of losing weigh too quickly and being weak from the over training.
There is the idea of using extra weight to lean on and push back an opponent. I don't think that's worth the trade off in speed and stamina loss from being fat.

Usyk was too quick to let himself get tied up and leaned on. So the only reason to not drop weight is if Fury thinks his body doesn't have enough time to adjust to the weight loss. As a pro athlete he should never have let his body get in bad enough shape where this is an issue.

Well, he was outboxing him big time in rounds 4-6, and with more stamina maybe he would be able to keep it up for longer.

Filled with water and beer and all sorts of fried pub food. He permanently damaged his body by going on his 3 year binge and ballooning up to 400 lbs. Going up that heavy permanently predispositions the body to holding on to a high amount of fat. Even lipo would be a temporary fix unless he radically changed his diet for good.

Being 246 wouldn't help Fury that much against Usyk. 37 year old Usyk is a much better and more agile boxer than 39 year old Wlad was

He could do it or at least get close to it, if he really wanted it enough but fact is he's never been one of those laser focused type boxers who were able to be consistent. Since beating Wlad he's had tremendous success, gained popularity and has become rich beyond his dreams, all those things only add to his apathy. We won't ever see that Fury again, especially as he was likely doping back then and his mental health is also worse than it was which sees him abuse his body through drink and drugs between fights.

But he can show up in better shape than the first fight, but only if he doesn't balloon up too much between the first fight and the camp for the rematch. I suspect he'll be lighter but not by much and he'll again fade and lose again.

He’d be quicker, have better movement and would still have a decent size advantage, I’m not buying the argument that he’d be drained or ‘it doesn’t suit his style’, in no way shape or form does it benefit a fighter to be above 15% bodyfat, it’s just dead weight that will affect your cardio, if you have visible love handles and clearly not lean at all, it’s not gonna drain you to lose more weight.
