Do you think technique evolves?

Every guy has certain flaws, and certain stylistic issues.

Even the greatest fighters of all time.

Now I have clearly proven to you that I’m open to an objective debate.

That should be clear to you, with how I’ve laid out my posts to you, with my observations, my logic and my questions that I’ve kindly asked you.

At the end of the day, you have made a statement that you can’t back up.

And as well as that, it should be abundantly clear to you, that you can’t make your statement, based only on a handful of fighters.

Even if we all agreed with you that Usyk etc, was better than Louis etc, how on earth would that prove your theory right?

    It’s silly.

You’ve made up your mind based on 6 fighters, 3 from the past, and 3 from the present?

    Ridiculous.

But what you’re trying to do here, is imply that I’m being biased and nostalgic, where I’m incapable of debating in good faith. But to me, you’re just trying to spin it that way because I’ve backed you into a corner.

Now you made the statement, where again, you need to either word it differently, or you need to back it up. Because as of yet, you absolutely haven’t done that.

Now I have actually broken down your theory, where I’ve shown you that your statement doesn’t in any way hold up.

Because again, if your statement rang true, then the sport would not be in a position, where it had prestigious divisions which are currently noticeably inferior to several from past decades.

It’s not a uniform of technique which no time period has had but a matter of experience that creates better boxers in my nothing opinion.
Does Inoue look better than Duran? Brown learnt all he knew much before the 60s does Usyk look better then Joe Louis? When did Blackburn figh t who taught Louis all he knew?
GGG and Toney for recent examples one of them was built in the amateur circuit Toney was built by a classic boxing guy who learned from and respected Ezzard Charles.

    Of course it does.

But in boxing, at the core of it you have two men fighting.

In 80-90 some years from now Usyk will not have any footage that captivates audiences of the art of boxing in complete awe like this

Louis threw good combinations but that's about it Usyk is much better at everything else.

He doesn't have the resume for it but in terms of skills I don't think any heavyweight I have ever watched is as skilled

“That’s about it”? He’s arguably the greatest punching technician in heavyweight history, as well as one of the most intelligent punchers the sports had ever seen.

We all know that it’s evolved.

    Of course it has.

But Dorrian is saying that it continues to evolve with each new generation, which of course is absurd.

Otherwise, everyone today would be technically superior to their predecessors, across all divisions, to the point where it be unthinkable/laughable, to even compare a guy’s skill set today, with someone from decades ago.
