Sweep for Archie with the Quarry fight being the most fun.

Patterson stops Moore (again) . Quarry and Moore would be a good fight, the Mongoose might get a close UD.
Young? who knows what would show up.

You don't think Moore's age and wear n tear had anything to do with his loss to Patterson?

He’d have a very good chance of beating quarry and Patterson. Not sure about Young. While Jimmy was no where near the great fighter that Archie was, he was a very tricky guy to beat and extremely hard to stop.

The Young fight would've been fun, if nothing else. The Mongoose Vs The Fox.

Even with all that experience, Archie would be flummoxed at what to do when Jimmy kept sticking his head outside the ropes and maybe upped his game to actually climb through them to taunt Moore from the ring apron.

Are we making the matchup purely the incarnations of the two of them that fought Ali? Lol

If you take 6 years off Archie he 'd still be 35 in a fight with Floyd. I'd still take Patterson

I think hungry young Moore would beat Patterson and Quarry but Young would maybe beat him by SD.

Moore arguably was in his prime 6 years earlier and hadn't had the war with Marciano.

It didn't hurt him when he fought Durelle for the first time in 1958...maybe the best LT Heavy title fight of all time...

If this is 12 or 15 I'm picking Jimmy Young in a 10 rounder it could go either way.

Patterson and Quarry both beat Moore in competitive contests.

The problem with rating prime Archie Moore is that Archie Moore wasn't nearly as good in his physical prime. Didn't he have that surgery that stopped the ulcer problem he'd have had during his physical "prime"? In this case prime Archie Moore never truly existed.

But Durelle wasn't as good as Patterson so Moore may not have needed to be at 100 percent to beat him. Kind of like how a 2000 Mike Tyson didn't need to be the 1988 version of himself to beat Golota. But he would have needed to be at or near enough to his best self to probably beat Holyfield.
