He was probably having vietnam flashbacks when he saw Tyson approaching.

 

Poor Michael Spinks. He was the proverbial dead man walking well before first bell.

Any last request Michael? Yeah, just one. Spare me from having to fight Mike Tyson.

 

Yeah he’s only good enough to beat Trash like Larry Holmes.

 

I'll give him the first fight, barely. Wasn't Larry over two years into his decline by that time? I could be wrong.

He was 35 years old in the fight with Spinks, which is two years younger than Holyfield in the fight with Lewis and Usyk in the fight with Fury. It certainly could have been past prime, but not by much and their fight was very good and at a high level.
