As we've said before...."Iron" Mike never walked thru the fire to win a fight...he never came from behind to win a fight...and he never got decked...and then came back to win a fight...all things you need to be a great fighter...Marciano had these in spades...Tyson had none of these attributes....Rocky beats him on heart alone. That's why Tyson has fallen in the all time rankings...one list has him barely making top 10...where Rocky came in at #4...and another list has him at # 17....that list again had Rocky at #4. Sorry...
So you not only have dementia at the age of 22, you're also blind? I didn't claim Rocky fell over in the video I posted. Show me the post where I did? You said, and I quote: Of course you won't quit while you're ahead, your fragile ego cannot handle it. How does it feel to be stupid?
And he never got decked and blacked out against a 41 years old Lhvy ,and left hooked to the floor by a 38 years old guy. So we must penalise him for that? Tyson was on the deck putting his mouthpiece in backwards still trying to get up . He took huge punches from Ruddock and a monster smash from Bruno ,but kept coming. He had plenty of heart. Many many fighters have had tons of heart and failed against superior fighters, guys like Gatti,Ward,Pazienza. Two come forward punchers, one slower than the other ,30lbs lighter, and subject to cuts. The other faster afoot ,faster hand speed, more explosive puncher ,proven against modern big punchers of class, indicate one winner. And it ain't a little Italian American who cut in all his big fights and made a career out of beating old men. If Marciano had been black he would hardly be mentioned today.
Maybe if Marciano was black he'd have gone down in history alongside the most important and famous fighter of all time... Elmer Ray. I personally don't believe that Marciano's two deckings were that bad of a show of durability, considering that Moore was a hard puncher who threw punches in bunches and that Walcott had ATG power, I recall some fighter saying that he was a harder hitter than Joe Louis (And I'm not talking about the old bomber, but rather a prime one). Lemme see if I can find what I'm talking about.
I don't think Walcott was an ATG puncher. Moore certainly was, at lhvy. I''ve never seen either on a list of the 20 hardest punchers at heavyweight. Moore dropped Marciano with a single short right hand.Marciano got up at 4 and headed for the ropes,he said he blacked out for a few seconds. Walcott dropped him with a single left hook. Several Marciano opponents named others as harder hitting than Rocky. Among those to do so were. Cockell Lastarza Charles Moore
he was 18 years old, he fought in heavyweight and lost narrowly to the later Olympic champion, whom he later got his revenge on. You know well that Tyson was one of the best heavyweights in the world at that time, even though he was not even an adult man.
Tyson wasn’t built for the Olympics, fighters like Ali had proven that outboxers were more suited for olympics so they chose tyrell briggs who mike throughly smashed.
Tyson has to get this done inside 6 rounds for me, if not Rocky takes over and wears Mikey boy down, stopping him late on.
Tyson the significantly bigger and stronger Man , With a weight advantage of about 30 pound s . With his lighting fast punching power, catching Rocky before he has a chance to throw a meaningful shot of his own. The heart of the Man makes him keep getting up but the ref has a heart too, and stops the fight.
