If he had any discipline he would've kept Holyfield on the end of his long jab but he chose to brawl. As a boxing fan it was great to watch but ultimately it was very bad for his career.
I don't see it that way. Tyson was great at slipping the jab, not even Holmes jab was good enough to keep him at bay and Bowe was always a bit of a plodder he'd never be able to keep Tyson on the outside, it would be fought at Tyson's best range and with both of them slugging it out at mid and close range. Would of been a hell of a fight but Tyson's superior power, defense and chin would see him come out on top in what likely would have been a wild fight.
^This^ Tyson in his prime was very dangerous, I would of loved to see the Holyfield and Lewis fights when Tyson was in his absolute prime, the outcome might been the same but it would of still been fun to see.
None can get it outta my mind that this version of Bowe could have stopped Lewis like did McCall. This content is protected Bring it on, man! Knock me out!
If you have a spare 3 hours and you are a big Bowe fan, this would be the best video to watch. Covers his entire career. This content is protected
Dillian Whyte has been a top 5 fighter in this era. An overweight slob that can’t fight past 4 rounds, does a 360 spin when he throws a hook and throws a right hand like a test match bowler.
Lewis after that confrontation was right, he predicted Bowe would side step him, because he saw fear in the man's eyes and that is exactly what happened.
Wasted the miracle of having Eddie Futch decide you are to be his last great heavyweight. He was great at times, if lapsing defensively, but he slid down instead of evolving like Lennox did.
He'll forever be remembered for ducking LL. That bin episode was an all time career misstep for a boxer.
