thats where i put him. but i have my own criteria. nobody would do to the 3 kings what bam did. regardless of age issues. 1 maybe, 3 no way. kid has everything. the rest is getting comfortable putting it together.

Great wins to be fair but they are in the tail end of their round robin wars.. Bam is definitely the bigger man.
Plus I’m only saying that Bam is not quite top 5 yet.. since Usyik, Inoue, Bud, Canelo, Bivol is still operating at a very high level..
Bam can be group in the bottom half together with Tank, Shakur, Beterbiev etc..

    Watch. It's uncanny

And when you watch the replays (you don't see them both here) their legs are in a similar position

i understand why many would not have him that high. my list is heavy on what level they are currently at, more so than the resume they have accumulated. like i could have understood if someone had gallo higher p4p prefight. i didnt, because i can see what bam is able to do technically. im judging accuracy, speed, defense, timing, how they set up shots, which counters they rely on, etc... im judging pure talent and current performance level. this kid is the truth, and i would be able to see it no matter what town or country he came from.

Gallo has beaten other southpaws more easily like Giovanni Segura and Tyson Marquez so it has more to do with styles. Age and back-to-back wars finally caught up to him when he fought Bam.

Also Israel González is a solid fighter who was really competitive against Chocolatito and Kal Yafai and also managed to give Bam a tougher than expected fight as well. Wasn’t like he was a bum. That just means that certain styles can trouble Bam.

Honestly this fight was a bit underwhelming. I was hoping for a 7-5 type decision either way but I had a bad feeling Estrada would be as past it as he was. Unfortunate

Was he past it or did Bam just exceed expectations

Dude were you paying attention to gallos footwork and hand speed? Not to mention his reflexes. He did what he could and Bam still did perform excellently but you can’t deny what you see. Or at least I can’t

usyk, crawford and inoue are interchangeable at the top. then i got canelo, bam, bivol, shakur, tank, beterbiev, and a yet unjustifiable vergil ortiz.

That was a very enjoyable fight. Young lion beating an inactive old lion, no great shock. Bam's footwork and angles were great.

On a side note, just seen the official scorecards. Absolutely wild scores from 2 of the 3. Good job for Bam he didn't need them.
