Why isnt everyone clamouring for Inoue vs Bam Rodriguez?

It's amazing how Loma can weigh maybe 4lbs more at 135 than Inoue does at 122 now, with a 2'' shorter reach than Inoue

But people want to crucify Loma on a molten cross for just respectfully answering a question about the possibility of potentially moving down to 126 to face Inoue which they unanimously deem as a terribly unfair size mismatch despite the fact that Loma is routinely facing guys at 135 who have 10-15lbs on him and 3'' to almost 6'' in reach

And now we have Inoue at 122 weighing (as per their last recorded fight night weights) 6lbs more than Bam-Rod at 115 with half an inch reach advantage on him which, again, albeit to a lesser extent, is seen as an unfair size mismatch by many

The size disparity between Loma and his opponents at 135 is often ridiculous and very noticeable but we don't ever see this with Crawford at 147, Inoue at 122, or Bam-Rod at 115 and that is just some big facts

Why? Literally 2 divisions apart. Feels like people who are asking for this are the ones wanting Bam to lose.

I don't know if this one is possible due to the weight differences, might just miss out on each other as Inoue ages and Bam grows to his full size. Alongside Bud (when he does fight) these are my favorite fighters to watch so it would be quite something.

I'm starting to get annoyed with these 3 division apart hypotheticals. Especially when there's enough meat on the bone in their own divisions let alone one division up or below. We need not ever discuss 2, and 3 division jumps. :ohno

I like BAM but this is akin to when they slid Vargas into the fight with Tito. At this point in time I think it would be too much with the potential to derail his career. Let him clean out where he is at and wove up when comfortable.

They are the same size so it’s not exactly unrealistic. Bam should easily be at 118 or 122 already

Nah it’s cause Bam is the goods and we want to see a fight between 2 top talents. I do think Bam should have time to acclimate to 118 and maybe have a CW fight at 120.

Inoue is already on his way to move up to 126 next year. Let Bam finish his business at 115 and 118 first. He's still young, continuously improving, and has plenty of other good fights around his weight class. Maybe in the next 2 years or so if both are still at the top maybe we'll see them face each other at some point in the future.

It really showed against Estrada. Bam's going up higher in weight class than Inoue by the end of his career. Book it.

In no way shape or form did Bam Rodriguez look as a big in the ring as Inoue did in his last several fights against Nery, Tapales, and Fulton. Bam had a chance to fight Inoue at 118 but ran back down to 113 instead. Bam was pretty vocal about fighting Inoue back then but (along with Robert Garcia) suddenly fell silent after how Inoue easily destroyed Fulton at 122.

Because after Inoue cleans out his next 3 opponents it will be Junto v Naoya for all the 122 belts and Japanese glory. And that's the fight we want.
