If they are in their prime, we assume Floyd is in his prime too, right? So would they fight him at super featherweight or lightweight? Not everybody could make the weight.
No, he would lose to at least a couple of those fighters. He barely beat DLH, who was faded by that time. The Oscar who fought Trinidad I would favor over any version of Mayweather, without a doubt.
Beats these, I don't see the Oscar fight being that different since yes, he might have been out of prime, but that wasn't the most confortable weight for Floyd either. Same goes for Cotto, both of 'em were slightly out of their prime but if the fight happened earlier I see Cotto gameplan being neutralized with difficulty like what we got in 2012. And yep, I don't see the Mosley fightin' changin' either. Margacheetoh might win with tha loaded gloves, people complainin' him and Tszyu ALWAYS had Mayweather number are wildin'. Now actually these would pose him problems which makes me unsure about the match outcome.
I love how you casually dropped murderers row lol Shane & DLH were somethin else in their prime. No way he fights Forrest or Winky.
First of all he wouldn't fight them. Floyd's zero meant everything to him his MO was to age guys out or fight them once they had a loss and lost momentum and confidence. Agree with what JMotrain said, he only just scraped by an older past prime version of Oscar. No doubt Floyd was a great fighter but I don't think there is anybody in history who would go undefeated if they fought elite fighters back to back their whole career.
So how does this work for primes and weight classes? Does this mean we get a 150lb version of the Mayweather who fought Corrales, a prime 150lb Pretty Boy who is aggressive, relentless, AND elusive? I actually think Mayweather gets underrated on here due to his hand issues.
Mayweather is not the kind of guy who was an advocate for being fair. Like I said early after Floyd proved himself at the lighter weights the rest of his career his MO was to age guys out or fight them once they had a loss and lost momentum and confidence.
You wouldn't get him in the ring with any of them in their prime especially Dela Hoya,Tszyu, Winky or Trinidad.. We all saw what happened when Margarito strolled up to him & asked politely " Why wont you fight me". I have seen several videos of that occurance & I can honestly say Ive never seen a man look so terrified that he embarrassed himself the way he did. That is the one fight I would have given anything to see & if Floyd LEGITIMATELY beat Antonio, I'd apologize & call him champ. But I know in my heart Tony would have done a Cotto 1 on him, & beaten him to a pulp
Prime DLH beats Floyd imo Winky is a tough matchup for Floyd. Winky was huge next to Floyd w longer reach. Tough fight although slight edge Floyd. Floyd beats the others
