Barkley probably takes it but this could be fun

Caveman would go down swinging, but down he would go. And probably in the first four or five rounds. Simply outgunned by Iran.

Agreed. Barkley is the smart favorite. But I think it could be a good slugfest for a few rounds. Lee was tough as hell

Completely agree. I can’t imagine Lee not coming with both barrels, so to speak. He’s in it to win it as long as he’s still on two feet, but I just think Iran is a bridge too far. Not like Barkley is going to back away from a slugfest either.

Great fantasy matchup. I’d love to see it.

The Caveman is a level below Barkley but as Goo says he was tough. He might even have some nice moments early on but i think it'd be over by 5 or so.

Same. Lee’s shaky chin combined with his blind bravado is what would cost him. Barkley probably knocks him out inside of five rounds. But what a great few rounds that would be.

William Lee missed a great marketing opportunity by not aligning himself with the original Caveman.

If you watched Rich's bio on Caveman that he put out on YouTube last year, he detailed that Lee hated being a boxer with a passion and only did it to satisfy his demanding ex-boxer father trying to live through him. Despite his complete disinterest in it and lack of serious training habits, he still made it to a top 10 ranking and a title shot. Can't help but wonder how much further he could have gone if he actually wanted it. Matching him up with Hagler- who said famously "If you cut the top of my head off and looked inside, you'd find nothing but a boxing glove. It's all I think about" was a mismatch on that fact alone.

The William Lee who was, he gets knocked out by Barkley 19 out of 20 times accounting for a lucky shot here and there. Barkley had desire and heart for days and never shorted his training. The Caveman who could've been? Maybe a 50/50 fight. A ton of untapped potential in my eyes and what could have been.
