In world title fights Joshua has been willing to fight top up and coming fighters

He wasn't out of the ring a year and a half and was training throughout for a delayed and cancelled fight
I do agree that he was probably past his prime some time previously
Don't think anyone has thrown it out of context

What I don't think you may not have put into context is that Wladimir was still rated at number 1 and that Joshua had only had something like 18 fights and was unifying against the highest rated available HW
A younger Wladimir may have beaten Joshua. Haven't seen anyone say that's not a possibility

    I know

I would favour Usyk but you are right re age
Fury has fought an older not overly active Usyk around a year and a half after Joshua
It's a shame imo Fury Vs Usyk didn't happen sooner

After losing to Fury and doing nothing. It was a good win, but the man was 41 for crying out loud. And with how ajs career has panned out that version of Klitschko was probably even worse than what we think.
"May" more like probably. Especially with Steward in his corner. Even if it's highly competitive, it's not a 50/50 fight. A prime Klitschko is the obvious favorite, especially against current tentative aj. Watch him against Helanius. He has not improved by a significant margin. He only looks it against creme puffs and being able to pace himself better
Then why did you say it was a good win for Parker ? Nvm. Point is it's not that good of a win Especially since aj lost. You can rate it however you want, but Ruiz left the top 10 a while ago and wasn't there before he whooped josh. aj also won in a boring fashion, didn't win like Ruiz did.
This older version of Usyk beats Joshua like he did twice. He was already a bit past it against aj. aj would never beat him. Fury probably won't but his chances are way better, it would surely be a statement even with these circumstances. Usyk is the man right now

AJ gets credit for fighting Parker, soon to be Dubios and I'll even give credit for Ruiz (dangerous, difficult fighter when on form) even though it was supposed to be an easy replacement. Beyond that he's been well matched with aging opponents.

In no way does he get credit for Charles Martin though, because he sure as hell wasn't any good.

Never felt he was best of the best, but good enough to take Anderson (current ring mag #7) the distance
Good enough to be competitive with Ortiz

I'm not saying best of the best but Joshua did look impressive compared to the others who have beaten Martin

Tell me during Joshua's era, which other HW champions have fought as many top young (30 and under) up and comers?

    That is not exactly accurate
Wladimir lost to Lamon Brewster and their careers had different trajectories but the loss still happened

    Once again
    Nobody knows for sure
Wladimir was a great HW and a great champion but did also have unexpected set backs
I can't think who he beat who was as big and powerful as Joshua when he was in what I think you are calling his prime
I'm not so either way as nobody knows

Because it was a good win for Parker when he beat Ruiz

You were saying you didn't take anything from the Ruiz win
He boxed a bit more cautiously to get the win.
I don't see much wrong with that
Many fighters do similar to get a win out of the way

You could make a similar argument with how Fury beat Wladimir to how Joshua did with your debate, but I'm not doing that as I felt both did what they felt was the right thing at the right time

I would favour him as well

    I agree
    Styles make fights
I think Fury has tougher fights with big strong fighters but that is only my opinion
    Both are top HWs imo

Wlad stopped him in the rematch. A peak Wlad beats peak Aj any day of the week based on aj struggling with a 41 year old version and Wlad being told not to chase a knockout. That is enough proof for me. Styles make fights. Bum Robert Helanius stuck a jab on PRIME Joshua and didn't stand in front of him, which is why it was dead even until the KO, and he's even more tentative than in the past. Hes not going to bullrush Wlad, he doesn't do that anymore he paces himself. Even if he did Prime Wlad probably still KOs him.

Surely we were talking about joshuas win over Ruiz ? It wasn't that good. It was okay. A late replacement who hasnt beaten anyone until he beat aj nor was he ranked before it. He avenged a loss basically and did it in a snoozefest. But sure he was young

Parker did a reasonable job and hasn't really ducked anyone. But I'm biased there.
