Usyk didn’t use much work rate, he just made him move constantly and made him anxious with the feints, the presence of Davis infront of Stevenson will force him to keep moving and eventually tire.
Frank Martin knew he was going to lose. Rolly Romero knew he was going to lose. Hector Luis Garcia knew he was going to lose. Ryan Garcia knew he was going to lose. Mario Barrios knew he would lose. If you disagree, ask yourself why - if Tank was fighting live opponents - did he miss/duck Loma (past 7 years), Teo, Devin, and Shakur? Ask yourself why Tank needed a catchweight and rehydration clause against middling Ryan? Tank only fights people he's supposed to beat. Thats why none of the latter fights happened and why all the former fights happened. That's why he never rematched Pitbull Cruz. That's why he wants to fight Loma NOW, instead of 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022, after Loma lost twice and looked average in his wins against Rich Commey and Jamaine Ortiz. Tank is a good little lightweight but there's a reason he hasnt taken the tough fights. And it's not because PBC wouldnt make the fights...Fury got Wilder 3x, Canelo got Plant, Crawford got Spence, and Inoue got Fulton...PBC will put their top guys out there if they think they can win and Tank has never been put out there - that's not accidental. Shakur is a weirdo and a legitimate dork, but he's coming to win. Tank will have some savvy traps for Shakur but Shakur has never been seriously hurt (although he hasnt fought someone dangerous yet) and doesnt WALK into punches like Rolly or some of these other guys. I'll take slow and steady Shakur in a surprisingly tightly contested decision
In order to beat Tank, you have to take chances and risk getting clipped. I'm not sure if Stevenson is willling to accept such risks. Stevenson will have to operate in Tank's blast radius and let his hands go often enough to score and win a decision. A strictly safety first approach won't cut-it against an infinitely more marketable "A-side" power puncher. Will Stevenson see the final bell? I'll wager that he will---he's that fleet of foot and deft defensively--- but I think it will likely come at the expense of generating enough offense to win a decision.
Havent thought long about that match up but as it stands i favour tank davis. Simply because hes willing to take some risks in there. Stevenson saefty first aproach wont get it done against this type of fighter i assume. Not at this level
Yes I agree with you Cobra You can see Tank thinking the whole time he is in there and he is very patient. Shakur will likely out box Tank for most of the fight but Tank will slowly close the gap and start landing heavy shots and eventually get the stoppage.
I think Tank beats Shakur, Loma beats Tank, and Shakur beats Loma. Anytime Loma has struggled it has been against guys quite a bit bigger than him.
There’s no way Shakur is standing a chance with Ryan, Tank, Pitbull or Teo @FoutsBoxingTheory 17 hours ago so easy to hit.
Stevenson's footwork coming forward sucks. @FoutsBoxingTheory 17 hours ago maybe that's why he be steppin on their feet.
I wouldn't bet a wooden nickel on Stevenson, even though I believe he has the skills to beat anyone. Tank will force him to stand and fight and Stevenson has shown no heart for that so far.
I think Davis is on a roll and at his absolute best, I don't really see anyone around that is going to beat him. Yes, his competition has been lame, but when Tank stepped it up he showed that he has what it takes.
