I honestly thought the Cuban Frank Sanchez was massively over rated. With hindsight so was that chinny eastern European.

Still nicely done by Kabayel, this is a good fight that I'd slightly favour Zhang in.

It's not like danced around Makhmudov all night; he stayed in range and cut him down with body shots.

i've been impressed with Kabayel in his last two fights but the lumbering, twitching, extremely crude Mak was tailor made for him and Sanchez was terrible, offering no offence.

But he is a very skilled boxer. It's a pick em for me. Kabayel's movement, like Parker would give Zhang fits. But if if big bang lands cleanly Kabayel will be done. It would be a step up for Kabayel that i'd like to see.

    50/50.

Kabayel. And pretty easily too. Mid-round stoppage.

Zhang should stay away from Kabayal. Totally wrong fighter for him.

Zhang by KO from what I have seen of Kayabel thus far. He seems to be a straight ahead boxer-puncher who will fall directly into Zhangs range and power.

I think if Kabayel employs his typical tactics of hunting to the body and maintaining a high level of pressure with solid defence he'd tire Zhang out quicker than most. I actually think Zhang would succumb to the body shots if he doesn't pull off a timely punch.

If Kabayel can survive the first few rounds, he'd wear a gassed Zhang down with his pace and brutal body attack.

Wasn't Wach 42 at the time? And ideally more than one decent chin on his record. Hence "not so much".

Also while Kabayel WAS underrated, I think he's now slightly overrated based on his recent performance. Zhang would obliterate both Sanchez and Makmudov within 3 rounds.

Is this the same Zhang who was supposed to obliterate Joseph Parker in short order?

You say Kabayel is slightly overrated. He’s got nothing on Zhang who has been criminally overrated for years now.

Zhang is much much more tougher, skilled, and defensively sound than Kabayel. Although, I think if Parker can outwork Zhang, then Kabayel should.

Kabayel on points. I think he gets too close to Zhang and makes his power less effective. His best punch is his straight left and the closer he gets the less effective that punch is. The right hook, which also did a lot of damage in both Joyce fights will be a very important weapon inside. He may catch Kabayel on the way in and that’s always a risk when facing Zhang but I think he’s going to be able to smother him and wear him down

Zhang has one of the most unstoppable punches in boxing, that lead straight left lands on everyone he fights. I like him in this 50/50 fight.
