Wilder shouldn’t get in since his best win is a 1 million year old Luis Ortiz but he will, unfortunately, get in since he’s a popular American HW even if his actual accomplishments were bang-average.

Nah, Joshua is a lock. It's called the Hall of Fame. They got guys in there based off just that. You got to remember at his height in 2018 he was everywhere. You would even walk into Japanese sports stores and there were life size cuts outs of Joshua. Remember how quick he sold out MSG in 2019?

From 2016-2019 it was him and Canelo who were the big ticket sellers and PPV draws. Heck Joshua is still a big ticket seller and PPV draw.

A lot of people ate well off the back of Joshua. That includes Fury, Wilder, Usyk too

He might get in too. First ever [American-]Mexican heavyweight. Though he probably does need to do something sharpish with the back half of his career.

You used to be posting here every hour of every day about how Fury would never lose to any man born to his mother. Then Fury got the s*** beat out of him by a man half his weight, six inches smaller, born to his mother and now you just post hate about Fury's rivals. It's kind of sad really

Fury lost to only one man. Himself. Usyk would never lose to himself.

No, he actually literally lost to Oleksandr Usyk.

Although Fury does go to war with himself often...

If you look at who is in the Hall of Fame - for the heavyweight division only- only one boxer has made it that was not the lineal champion in modern times and that is Ken Norton. So no I don’t think Joshua is a lock yet but I do believe he is close.

Fair enough, but as you point out, Norton wasn't Lineal. Also Vitali is included who I'm also repeatedly told was not Lineal.

Joshua was recognized as the #1 in the division for two years by TBRB and The Ring (excluding 300lb 2017 Fury in the Ring's case). Add his popularity (see Gotti) and I don't see how he doesn't get in.

I can't see a version where they can legitimately leave a guy with Joshua's combined resume and fame out, tbh

The HOF is 30 years old. There are no other lineal champs in the HOF because the HOF has not gotten to all the lineal champs yet and not because none will make it.

Joshua and Wilder will make it.

The hall of fame has only inducted lineal champions in the heavyweight division. Wilder was never lineal. So unless the Hall decides to elect non lineal heavyweights Wilder isn’t getting in. And IF the heavyweight division does start to select boxers that are non lineal champions into the Hall why would Wilder of all the good heavyweights of the past get in first? Why not say John Ruiz who twice won the wba title and defeated guys like Holyfield, Rahman, Golota, not get in before Wilder. How about Ernie Terrel he won the wba belt and beat among others Doug Jones, Bob foster, George Chuvalo, Cleveland Williams, Zora Folley and Eddie Machen a far deeper resume than Wilder.
Wilder fought stiffs, and never won the belt more than once, and lost all his biggest fights despite 3 tries with Fury, also Parker and Zhang. You don’t get in for beating only ancient Ortiz.

HOFs love records and stats and milestones. Wilder has the KO% record and the 10 title defenses.

    Please, stop.

Ortiz is not a day over 900,000 years old.
