Ortiz shouldn’t try to make anything under 154 ever again after what happened to him. Makes more sense for Ortiz to fight Spence / Crawford at 154 and then wait for Boots

The talent and skill is obviously there but you never want to be quick to anoint the next great WW because once those guys become titleholders it feels as if their attitude changes for the worst. So he’s considered the boogeyman for now until somebody come calling his name then all of a sudden he’s above them sort of like Benavidez is trying to do to Morell.

He's always impressed me. I reckon he's the real deal. I also like his personality, he doesn't go over the top like nearly all his contemporaries

    Not really.

I mean he has impressive skills and is definitely one of the top guys at 147 but I just still have difficulty separating him from the other top guys at 47.

Guys like Ugas are still out there and honestly idk what in the hell is going on with Ortiz and Sometimes Thurman.

Stanionis I guess is still out there too.

We must wait for July 29 bc at this point Errol Spence and Terence Crawford are STILL the best 2 Welterweights IMO. Finally we can get some clarification.

    HOPEFULLY

Boots has a very likeable personality and always comes across as professional. Can only hope that the fame and fortune won't end up warping him to have a more detestable attitude down the road like we've seen in the past.

Didn’t look too bad against Avanesyan. Needs to start stepping up his competition. I think he could possibly be a real threat to Crawford should they meet in the future.

No. You could see as early as round 2 that Crawford will KO with a right hook out of the southpaw stance. So easy to hit him.

I have been for a long time. I told the people he was the truth and that he different and once again, for the umpteenth millionth time, Serge has been proven 100% right.

Eh… he’s decent. The Karen fight showed that he can’t really cut the ring off or hold the centre of the ring against a mover. I still need to see him against an outboxer who will actually punch unlike Karen. His defence is very leaky too, got hit way too much against Villa and Ava. He also seems to get a bit frustrated and has a tendency to low blow and rabbit punch hard. He’s entertaining though and takes risks so I’m still on the fence I guess.

Boots may have been a bit over anxious in front of the hometown crowd, but he did the job and ended it with finality.

I've been saying for a while that Boots needs to step it up before he tackles Crawford, and that still stands. He needs to fight at least one excellent quality opponent before then, preferably two. But then again, Bud isn't getting any younger.

Boots is basically the anti version of Shakur. Boots can be defensively responsible when he wants but doesn't mind mixing it up and letting his hands go when he knows his opponent can't hurt him. I think once the competition gets better, we will see a better Boots. I give him an A- for his performance last night due to the ring rust and random switching of opponent
