I just started trying to work on my hitting and I cant tell if my gloves just suck(very possible) or if im hitting wrong (at an angle or something) Anyone else got any experience with this?

You are not landing your punches correctly. Whatever punch it is, if you turn it over properly, it should land on the 2 big knuckles on your hand.

Maybe also check your hand wraps … probably what @greynotsoold said but if you wrap too tight and pinch the fingers together it can cause problems.

Try to land closer towards the middle, ring and pinky can be fine, in Jack Dempseys book he actually recommends it just make sure you make contact with both fingers at once. Vast majority of coaches would recommend two big knuckles (index and middle) but ring and pinky can deliver more power just easier to mess up and injure yourself.

Also make sure you use good wraps and sometimes even with good wrapping and perfect technique youre going to injure yourself if youre a really hard puncher. In that case, id recommend getting longer wraps like 180 in and 240 in as it adds density to your wraps
