He's fighting this weekend against Astrolabio after being catapulted to The Ring P4P list after his KO win over WBC 118 champ Alexandro Santiago to claim his third divisional title in February. Where do you rank the Inabe native (if you do)?

idk, I think Tank, Boots, Benavidez, and Fundora could all be pretty justifiably ranked above him. Boots has only had a single title fight and his resume is thinner than a sheet of paper. Benavidez's best win is going 8-4 against Plant or 7-5 against 40-y/o Gvozdyk. Tank is a two-weight champ with his 135 title coming via e-mail, whereas Junto is a 3-weight champ who has fought as many reigning champs as Tank has. I know you're a big Tank fan but looking at it objectively, Junto is more accomplished, at least on paper. Fundora got KTFO by Mendoza and his best win is a tight SD over a half-blind Tim. Just saying, Junto has more accolades than all those guys and as good or better resumes than them. And he passes the eye-test with flying colours imo but that's subjective so I won't get into that.

Who has Junto beat? Tanks resume is better than his on top of beating bigger guys and ranking way higher on everyone’s eye test. Junto is probably bigger than Tank.

Junto beat Yabuki, Akui, Santiago, A. Moloney, Cortes, Yamauichi, and Francisco Rodriguez. Yabuki went on to KO Teraji, Rodriguez Jr arguably deserved the nod over Ioka in the first fight (could have gone either way imo), and Cortes probably could have gotten the decision over Estrada. Junto has three opponents who beat (officially or unofficially) three other entrants on major P4P lists, whereas Tank has the Ryan win and Ryan's subsequent decision (now NC) over Haney. Tank is a few centimetres away from dwarfism, everybody is taller than him but Tank is denser than Junto and is heavier. iirc, Tank's coach once said that he walks around at 160. Junto couldn't go up to 160 without being morbidly obese. He's a lanky dude with a small frame and long limbs.

Around Top 8-10 is the most realistic ranking for Junto.

Junto is solid but if they were the same weight no one would give him a shot to beat Tank.

Aren't p4p lists based more on resume and accomplishments rather than who would be favored to win if in a made up world where they were the same weight?

He’s not easily about Ennis or Benavidez. Fundora I can concede because he’s been knocked out brutally and has shown bad defensive flaws.

Do you really think Junto has a chance against Ennis if they were the same size? No you don’t. P4P isn’t just resume.

Junto's win vs Yabuki is a blatant robbery

Why wouldn’t anyone give him a chance? In my opinion he has all the skills and physical gifts to give Tank fits, and stylistically I would actually favour him to beat Tank. Remember, if you scaled up Junto to lightweight he’d be about 6ft tall with a 72inch reach.

He’s got the footwork, distance control, counter punching, combos, power, chin, defense, stamina and fearlessness to get his respect then control and outbox Tank at range without fighting overly negatively and needlessly cornering himself out of fear at whats coming back like Martin. He’s also no slouch inside when Tank gets in close.

Junto is a bit open at times during his combos which Tank could exploit but it’s very rare to see Tank catch and counter his opponent mid combo, which would be essential for him to do against Junto.

How do you see the fight going?
