Hopefully Lomachenko never fights him. Even though I’d still pick Lomachenko if he can be bothered to get up for this fight and yet again put himself at risk of a robbery, it would simply be too funny to outright deny Davis the opportunity after years of ducking.

To be totally honest I do understand the sentiment. These particular fans are probably glad the fight wont happen now that Loma is 36+, after years of the fight being able to happen, and dont want Tank to be rewarded for trying to age Loma out.

So in that sense I get it.

I myself hope that if the fight doesnt happen in 2024 then it never does. Whats the point.

In Loma's defense, I'd have a hard time getting motivated to do my absolute best and win in dominant fashion, only to get ****ed over again and see a shiny new undeserved 4 in my loss column.

what exactly is loma in it for? cause its obviously not to prove he is the best fighter at 135. if its just money or ego, fair enough, walk away however you want.

    Patience is meaningless here.

The fight should have happened years ago.

Whats the point in Tank vs a 37 year old Loma (by the time they actually fight).

This fight is past its expiration date.

Tank should be looking to fight Teo, Haney and Shakur.

But of course those fights will undoubtedly be ridiculously over'marinated', if they happen at all.

Same thing 99.99% of every other fighter on the planet is?

You think Tank and Shakur been fighting to see who the best is?

i dont believe that. plenty of fighters fight to be the best. to prove they are the man.

Tank finally finds his nuts now that Loma is past his best and in his late 30’s I am glad Loma is telling them to **** off.
Why don’t Tank, Shakur, Lopez and Haney all fight each other while they are still prime?

perhaps theres something to it. and five years ago it could have been the opposite. tank was too inexperienced. but today is the best that can be done. i dont understand not making it now, unless you just dont want it.

In a close fight everything will go to the big money fighter. Maybe Loma just don't feel like he will get a fare shake. He still feels bitter about the Haney fight.

Ok, so maybe 10 boxers in the sport.

So change the 99.9% to 96%. Jk Bandeedo, I hear you. And good choices.

On a side note, Loma has fought for legacy over money in his career, in fact he gave Teo money from his own purse to ensure the fight happened.

If at 36 years old he refuses to be used by prime fighters looking to go after a prestigious past prime fighter they could have fought years ago... idk.

Main issue is he has a belt. With a belt comes obligations, regardless of Lomas desires. But if he vacates (he won't) then I dont have a huge problem with him not fighting Tank or Shakur. If he keeps the belt then obviously he needs to keep fighting the most deserving challengers. But still, I get where some of his fans are coming from.

Why 5 years ago though? What about 3 years ago? 2 years ago.

Tanks been boxing since hes been 5. He was prime enough to fight Loma at age 25, 26, 27.

A 26 year old champion thats been boxing for 21 years of his life isnt ready? Come on.

Maybe this will teach some fighters to make the fights when they should happen and stop trying to age fighters out.
