He looked terrible against Peralta, demonstrated his garbage stamina against Young, and gassed and got stopped by Ali.

15fight Foreman takes on 93 fight ,no 10 ranked Peralta and nearly pitches a shut out.
There's no point trying to have a sensible conversation with you, you're just a hater.

My guy Jefferson broke his ankle in the 1st round vs Maskaev and couldn't walk properly for most of the fight.

Courage never beat anyone with a pulse and wouldn't even be a top 30 Heavyweight of that era.

Tua was limited and often slept walk through fights Rahman out boxed him, Wooden almost beat him, Izon extended him into the 12th round, Oquendo won every round vs Tua until getting caught late. Tua is nowhere near as good at cutting off the ring as Foreman he also doesn't have his ATG jab or boxing IQ.

McCall poleaxed Maskaev in 1, Whitaker landed one decent right hand and had Maskaev on bambi legs then easily stopped him in 2 rounds, Johnson poleaxed him in 4, journeyman Corey Sanders stopped him, Peter clubbed away and stopped Maskaev easily.

I know you like trolling in Foreman threads but can you be normal for once in a topic related to Foreman ?

    • Unofficial AP scorecard: 6-2-2
    • Unofficial UPI scorecard: 9-1
    • A ringside poll of the press had it lopsided for Foreman.
    • Foreman is the only heavyweight to stop Peralta.

To be honest, NoNeck, I can't believe these numbers. Rahman couldn't bench 500 lbs (227 kg), and Mosley couldn't bench 330 obviously (150 kg).

If we look at the results of benchpress at IPF powerlifting world championship at 105 kg division (which is closest to Rahman's weight), current world champion benched 210 kg (463 lbs). And of all 30 competitors only one guy (silver medal at powerlifting 105 kg class) hit 230 kg in bench (505 lbs). Second best result at bench at that weight was 215 kg (474 lbs).

So 97% of world class powerlifters (who competed at world championship 2024), many of whom have short arms and train for many years strictly as powerlifters, can't bench as much as a pro boxer who has long arms?

I know that people who never lifted heavy weights can't imagine what numbers are real and what aren't. So I give these facts.

The real weights must be the following.

Years ago a guy from Wlad's team said he could bench 225 lbs for 15 reps (102 kg*15). Which is in the range of 320-330 lbs max.

Deontey Wilder before the Fury rematch was by far the biggest and the strongest in his life (238 lbs). He hit the bench of 330 lbs (150 kg) with his butt in the air and 350 (159 kg) lbs with the help of other guy (it is on youtube)

So it is likely he could hit around 315 lbs with butt on the bench, and probably 305 paused bench.

    Those are real numbers.

Now, 147 lbs Mosley could bench as much as 235-240 lbs guys like Wlad or Wilder? NO WAY IN HELL

And no way in hell Rahman could bench 500 lbs.

But Hasim was extremely strong guy who threw Lennox at their pressconference, he had strength.

I suspect he could bench more than Wlad and the strongest ever version of Wilder, but certainly not by 100 lbs (it is plain and simply impossible).

Maybe he could bench something around 375 lbs with butt on the bench, and maybe 400 with his butt in the air, not paused. Those numbers look close to real for me.

I wonder if you realise how much it shows you know nothing of Peralta as a fighter.

I’ll have to watch it again but didn’t Rahman put Lewis down with a leg toss (that is, grabbing a leg & tipping him onto his back)? If so, that doesn’t take a lot. When I was a bouncer I tipped bigger men than myself. One was probably 130kgs (275lbs). I myself am 90kgs (200lbs), & don’t lift any weights (I do push ups now but didn’t at the time). It took two attempts & I couldn’t get out of my bed unassisted for two days afterward, but tipping someone by the leg can be done by a much smaller man without a lot of strength is my point.

    Found it. Starts at 1:00.

Rahman won this brawl hith his upper body and legs strength. He owned Lewis here. But Lennox was undeniably the better boxer with greater punching power

Yeah Lewis was hands down the better Boxer. I was quite surprised at the time that a decent-sized minority were picking Rahman in the return bout.
