If you check out Rahman's Instagram, you'll see him posting vids benching 450+ as a fifty year old. The guy is a monster.

While I've only seen it twice, I have seen a 500 pound bench press done in the gym. One guy, who wasn't a pro powerlifter or pro heavyweight boxer, did 500 pounds for one rep. He was 6'4 and 260 pounds. I saw a short guy that was like 5'8 or something do 495 pounds. He built like Tua. I think it's plausible that Rahman could bench that type of weight.

There’s literally a recent video of him doing over 450.

On his instagram there's a video of Rahman hitting 445 lbs, without help. I must say he is even stronger than I thought.

I still can't imagine him hitting 500 lbs cleanly without help.

And keep in mind Hasim is now much bigger than he was in his boxing prime, he weights 300+ lbs, regularly trains with heavy weights and his arms are definitely thicker than ever. And physical strength doesn't seriously diminish at 50 if you train hard, unlike speed or reflexes. So, I don't think he was stronger physically at 240 than he is now.

But yes, I now see Hasim is strong enough to hit something like 410 paused bench. And nearly 450 without pause.

I think there are very few boxers that are able to hit those numbers.

Lance Whitaker melted Maskaev with a jab in 2 rounds.................

    original question;
Maskaev would have a hard time even hearing the round 1 bell.

Even if Rahman could bench press alot so what ? That didn't help him vs Ruiz who was more physical and out hustled him on the inside.

I don't really see what bench pressing has to do with Maskaev's below average chin ? or the fact he got stopped within 6 rounds numerous times and a few times by unremarkable opponents.

"Johnson the only one to stop a peak Oleg"

Despite Lance Whitaker destroying Masakev in 2 rounds 5 months after the Johnson fight ?

He didn’t get dropped by Jimmy Young though.

    Rahman was stronger than Foreman.

As for Lance Whitaker, you just stated exactly why that wasn’t a peak Maskaev within the question.

It's like all you do is diverge from the original question and go on about random things that don't have anything to do with the initial question.
But let's play that game. If Maskaev was put into the same situation that Foreman was, then he would've gotten dropped, too. He also would've performed way worse than an uninspired, out of it, and dehydrated George.

Foreman suffered a flash KD which he walked right into he was on the way up before a count could even be administered.

Nah, Maskaev beats Young easily. Maskaev was never coddled like Foreman. He did it the hard way.

Bad news for Foreman. Maskaev built his career off Rahman.
