Prime Liston enters the ring against the 7'1 315 pound giant. Giving up a foot in height and over 100 pounds in weight, could Liston prevail??

No chance! Liston is no 50-year-old Evander Holyfield, you know. He’s no washed up John Ruiz, or once-in-a-lifetime talent like David Haye (a lunatic who could be stopped by nothing short of a stubbed toe).

Sugar Nikolai any time & any way he chooses.

Valuev might go the distance, but would regret it for a week or so afterwards.

So as I suspected...Liston would be there at the end

Valuev face would look like a pptato if he would be still standing.

Dont know who the other guys is, but ill say this. Ali was the first man taller than him that he had ever fought, he wasn’t very experienced at it to say the least. In comparison, unless nikolai is like Foreman and specialized in hitting down I cant imagine he hits Liston before Liston hits him based on their stats alone.

Liston fought a few guys who were taller than him before he fought Ali, including, but not limited to, 6ft 3ins Nino Valdes, 6ft 2.5ins Mike DeJohn, 6ft 2ins Cleveland Williams and 6ft 2ins Howard King.

Certainly no one anywhere near as tall as Valuez, who was actually more like 6ft 11ins.

Is this true? I had heard Ali was the first man taller than him that he ever fought, which I thought was miraculous considering he was only 6’1. Learn something new every day, I probably should have double checked that haha.

Yes, it's true, at least according to their listed heights.

Well, you can see it on film, too. Williams looks way bigger than Liston from what I remember, I think I have a gif saved of Liston knocking him out and he looks giant compared to Sonny.

The Williams fights are good ones to see if you don't like extended affairs. Both fights don't go past the third.

Williams 1 is one of the few fights I have seen from Liston. Very enjoyable. Ill probably watch the second once I get off from work.
