Everyone has a bit of trouble accepting their loses, but who had the most trouble? Also include fanbases of boxers if you want (except Liston, hes banned.)
Deontay Wilder for fighter with the most excuses. ''Prime Mike Tyson'' fanboys for fanbase with the most excuses.
It depends on what you mean. In Poland, there was a boxer, Tomasz Adamek, who treated literally every fight he lost as an accident, even those in which he was dominated. But if you look at the greats of this sport, who has no excuses? However, Wilder is probably the undisputed leader in this sport, I have never seen more absurd excuses after his defeat against Tyson Fury.
Aside from his first loss to Fury actually, I don’t see him much much excuses even when he has reason to imo. He’s clearly washed at this point, though I imagine a fighter wouldn’t want to admit, they’re shot.
Pacquiao and all his little minions never lost a fight or even had a close one without excuses and tears.
Wilder and Fury are unrivalled. Fury pretended to have got Covid and to have hurt his eyebrow to postpone 2 bouts. Besides he said he won with Usyk and that he lost because the fight was too easy.
I don't know about continual excuses for various fights but for one fight in particular, Foreman takes the cake. After the Ali fight Foreman came out with 1) the canvas was too soft. 2) The ropes were too loose. 3) The count was too fast. And then about a month later he came out with 4) I was drugged.
Read Tris Dixon's book about old retired fighters ."The Road To Nowhere."Almost all of them were robbed in their fights.
This is the winner if I remember correctly, wrong gloves, wrong socks, I lost one of my arms, I’m afraid of needles, my nutrition, it was always some kind of bull**** excuse when he lost.
