I think anyone who is picking Chisora has an overthinking problem.

As long as Joyce doesn't come into the ring in a wheelchair, he should be fine.

    Joyce should win:

    16 years of wear to Chisora's 21

    38 years old to Chisora's 40

Joyce was poor in the Ali fight but he barely trained for it and came in fat. He will be much sharper mentally and physically here. He is mentally shot when it comes to Zhang but he would be mentally strong if he fought Parker again for instance, I don't see Chisora giving him demons.

Chisora had a very hard 10 rounder with a 41 year old semi-retired 2 KO loss streak Washington at the end of last year. He won clearly but he never put a dent in Washington (who was never that durable or determined) and it was punishing, he'd have stopped Washington in the mid-rounds a few years prior. He's not stopped anyone in his last 6 fights, since Price in 2019, so I'd be shocked if he KO'd Joyce.

I don't see how Chisora can deal with Joyce's work rate and I don't see him being able to hurt Joyce. I also don't think the judges will do him any favours given his absurd mileage and 13 losses.

I don't think you can really read anything into the face to face in this instance. Chisora usually does seemingly well with outwardly showing intimidation to his opponents ( to include table and water throwing!- he can be very unpredictable depending on his mood )

I don't think Joyce was actually phased with it at all, maybe a little surprised and caught short, plus he's not the quickest and most eloquent speaker. I'm positive that Joyce believes he's definitely gonna win here. I have no doubts about that side of things.

As for Chisoras genuine personal 100% belief that he's definitely gonna win, i'm not so sure. He fears nothing and no-one however, and he will attack Joyce with everything he's got. He's mentally strong and defiant, and defeat, or the thought of defeat is like water off of a ducks back with him. It's just another day at the office. Come mid-week when his cheque clears in his bank account, he'll be smiling....

    You raise some valid points.

Kash Ali landed every overhand right he threw. Chisora will too, and even not being a one punch KO artist, his shots are heavy and clubbing, and have more pop than Kash Ali's. The style of defending punches with your face has an expiration date, especially at heavyweight. If Joyce struggles to breakdown Chisora, like he did with Kash, then those overhands of Chisora could really do accumulative damage. Even if he manages to take them, there's swelling and cuts to worry about. Joyce can't afford to turn in a performance like he did against Kash Ali, that's for sure.

Chisora might be difficult early and I am rooting for him. I would expect Joyce to manage whatever storm comes his way and wear Chisora down. I feel his jab is going to take over the fight. Joyce for his faults gets the job done and Chisora poses none of the issues that Zhang did and Chisora isn't a mover or particularly fast. Maybe body punching is key or if the Eye goes again

Unless Zhang has left a huge crack in Joyce's jaw, this should be a sustained beating for Chisora. I expect Joyce to take some big shots in a fun to watch fight before killing what’s left of Chisora’s few remaining brain cells. Joyce by 9th round retirement.

Joyce is coming in at 281lbs. **** it, I think Chisora might pull this off. Joyce is done, Zhang broke him.

281 is way too heavy but he'll still beat Chisora who is shot to pieces. It's not like Chisora is gonna be moving in there, they'll clash in the middle and Joyce will break him down, regardless of weight.

Now if Joyce was fighting a top 10 HW at that weight I would be worried.

Chisora is going to look like Pernell Whittaker while throwing hooks like Orlando Salido. For the first 4 rounds that is. Joyce will then get his engine going while Chisora slows down.
I think Chisora will be able to hurt Joyce and pick up enough early rounds to take the decision.

Yeah Joyce will get hit a lot early but I really don't see him getting hurt.

Based on Chisora's last few fights, all of his attributes are gone. Power is gone, stamina worse than ever, balance is gone and I think his chin is gone too based on Pulev and Washington wobbling him. Parker doesn't hit hard but he dropped him 3x and that was 3 years ago now. Really don't see him going the distance with a big heavy handed guy like Joyce.

Let's see though, who knows lol.

It can't be overstated how much of a red flag that performance against Kash Ali was. Joyce was dreadful in every aspect. His offence was dreadful, and he was getting hit flush with every shot Kash threw.

Kash Ali has 21 wins, only 5 of which are against opponents with winning records, and two of them are 1-0 and 2-1. He's not even English title level. There's no way he should have seen past round 4 against a fighter of Joyce' calibre. It was a horrendous mismatch in terms of levels.

Kash was in survival mode the entire fight, backed up on the ropes and in the corner. He was there to be destroyed and he ended up being 7 seconds away from hearing the final bell after 10 rounds.

Chisora, even at this stage of his career is levels and level above Kash Ali and he hits much harder too.

If Joyce turns in a performance anywhere near as bad as he did against Kash, he'll lose.
