Just about to say the same thing and I don't think Joyce can fight any better he's old, slower than a mummy with zero defence and a cracked chin

I'm predicting a Chisora win 4-1 good odds as well

Saw an interesting piece on Chisora, he stated this is his last fight win or lose. Now? will he give everything he has left or will this be a quick cash out? I plan on betting on Chisora and hope he's got one more effort left but the outcome here is far from certain.

Gotta say it's weird seeing 40 year old HW's on a big card like this and not have Anthony Joshua involved.

    It's a bit sad, really.

I've got Joyce by late pity stoppage after Chisora takes a grotesque number of jabs to the face.

Wouldn't be shocked if Chisora won though. Joyce has looked old for the last couple of years.

I think it's a bit of a Zhang-Wilder thing... In that one fighter is really only dangerous for the first few rounds.

In that fight, Zhang got the job done before he gassed - but if he'd gassed badly (like he normally does) he'd have been picked off and stopped.

In this one... Chisora doesn't have the gas tank to throw everything at Joyce for more than 4 or 5 rounds tops.
But, he'll throw plenty of overhand rights as it's his favourite punch he can do real damage with it - and more importantly, they'll land (because, well, it's Joyce).
IF Joyce gets through that? He'll be able to jab away with limited resistance until Chisora either gets knocked out or stopped for not defending himself.

Realistically... Joe could well still have enough chin to get him to the end, but he'll get hurt in the process. He's basic, he was always overrated, but he's effective enough that has a very good chance to get the job done.

I'd love Chisora to do it, and he has a path to victory - but this has a lot to do with how much he has left, and I have doubts.

That's pretty much my thoughts... Chisora will throw a lot and land a lot for 4-5 rounds.

Then if Joyce is still standing, he'll take over and robotically jab away to limited resistance.

I'd love Chisora to do it, but I'm really not sure I can honestly call this one.

Just a strange fight all around. And there's probably a mental fragility aspect to consider here too.

After two tough KO losses, his next fight was always going to be a confidence builder. But it's curious that he had to pick a fighter in Kash whose best win was for a Central Area title, for that confidence builder. It's almost unheard of that a high profile, world level fighter, drops to such a low level for their knock-over gimme fight. Normally it's a long in the tooth, former fringe world level fighter, who's been KO'd a few times since, but has a bit of name value, but still poses very little threat. Or someone of similar ilk. And I would assume Frank Warren would have wanted this level of fighter so that it could headline its own show, I can't see Joyce fighting a central area level fighter being Frank's decision. So I'd be inclined to believe that was a Team Joyce choice right there, which indicates a massive lack of confidence before that fight. And then when you consider it was a complete failure of a confidence builder, that he struggled so badly against such overmatched opposition, then there's a good chance he's not high on confidence going into this fight with Chisora.

Some very valid points as always Rummy but I think Joyce has enough left to clip the older, more broken down guy. No way this goes past 9 rounds

I think you more or less reiterated what my thoughts were, maybe just better spelled out

I think the gas tank and jab see Joyce through. If Chisora is going to hurt him it is going to be to the body or re-injuring the eye like what happened to Margarito in the Cotto rematch after Pacquiao wrecked the eye

@Serge as the resident expert of slickness, what type of slickness are we looking at in this matchup? Negative slickness?

Chisora is obviously far from being a slickster but he might possess some invisible slickness when it comes to defence

But sadly Big Joe's slow-fast speed is shot to hell and that obviously detracts from his timing and slickness

Prime Big Joe was too fast to miss, and too slow to land

This version of Big Joe whose slow-fast speed is shot is susceptible to getting knocked out by Chisora. Big Joe can't get his head out of the way of a looping right hand anymore and Chisora has a big very heavy looping right hand. How many of those can this version of Big Joe take? I favour Big Joe to win but It's not a foregone conclusion. Risky fight for both
