I believe you're saying "face first" fighter? If so yes, he definitely is.

It would be hard to argue that as I agree there was no improvement, he just kinda regressed. He got slower and slower and relied on outmanning opponents. He's definitely one trick, jab-cross, block with chin.....but I think as far as stepping up in class, it's hard to say that as he has some wins that are looking beautiful with age, and his last two fights post Zhang he has looked worse.

So I can't say his current dilemma is due to a step up in class because Parker is clearly class. I'm not high on Dubois but he's clearly bounced back quite well and is in the mix (until Joshua melts him). But "this" Joyce doesn't beat either of them at this point, hence me chalking it up to Zhang destroyed him more than anything and there being two Joyces.

 

This was advertised as a 12 round fight and most betting sites gave predictions with it being 12 rounds. Chisora wouldn’t have lasted 12. Joyce was absolutely awful. How was this man the boogeyman of the division before the Zhang fights ?
Chisora has regressed and is nowhere near the WAR Chisora that fought Usyk ( he was even past his best then) but he showed incredible heart and spirit despite being an absolute shell of himself. Chisora being past his best and beating any version of Joyce is a massive win. Joyce heart isn’t in it after Zhang took his soul

Still can't believe Joe couldn't get Chisora out of there in the late rounds, had him out on his feet but the follow up shots were so slow lol.

Chisora's bobbing and weaving defense actually worked really well.

I got it level going into round 5
1 and 4 for chisora
2 and 3 for Joyce
5 is close but iam going with chisora for landing the cleaner heavier shots that were more damaging

 

What mean clear? Yes it look more effective but You dont win rounds in boxing because Your shots looks better.
Special because Joe was never heart in this fight and Chisora was wobbled hard in round 7 or 8 and almost die in last rounds in ring even running from Joe like chicken in 2 moments.

U must remeber that Most important thing in score boxing is land more than Your opponent. Other few rule like being in attack site, defence and others its just help.
Most important is landing more.

Joe shots might not looks best. His defence might be poor but if he still land more in more rounds Dereck not deserve win because he land nice...
