He won tonight and should hang ‘em up on a high note. He still can’t have great long term health with the career he’s had.
Define old...65+ retirement age for most people...but people with heavily scared brains don't normally make it to 70+. .
I’ll spell it out for you since you can’t read the eye chart, haha. You cannot have CTE in your old age if you die young. People who die young do not live into old age. If you can’t comprehend that, maybe tell your doctor and he can arrange that scan.
I'm concerned, while he beat Joyce, he looked completely done in at the end. He's always been a warrior who's given his all win or lose but that comes at a cost. He's made millions as a gatekeeper he should retire, you can't put a price on your long term health.
No I'm not worried. Because Chisora's health is either already damaged by now, or Joyce will not be a decisive fight that will damage Chisora's health. Because Joyce is not the "new Shavers" IMHO the fight that additionally, most and permanently damaged Muhammad Ali's health.
Probably not. But he has taken time off between the beatings. Last night was a really though fight and a punishing one, but it was nearly two years after the Fury beating in 2022.
I think Chisora has reached the point of no return and things can only get better now. I've said it before but in the anime Silver Fang there was an old blind dog who got cured of blindness after getting repeatedly punched to the head by a ninja dog. I don't see why the same can't happen to Chisora.
Chisora needs to be more active if anything. He can fight well into his forties. He's a Christian now so God will look after him.
I think people should be more concerned about the face fighter he just beat — guy has been stopped or knocked down in three of his last four fights and Stevie Wonder couldn’t miss him. If you’re getting beat up by a guy like Chisora who people are concerned about, then that in itself is a bigger concern. This was a setup for an easy win, a cherry pick to get Joyce back on track gone wrong. He’d almost 40 years old and he ain’t no George Foreman for sure.
Dereck Chisora fought very well for his age, he's still very durable and will not give anyone an easy fight. He still has a few fights left in him. I'm more concerned about Mariusz Wach. He looked terrible yesterday - he used to have an iron chin (I remember Wladimir Klitschko hit him with everything he had, and he wouldn't go down) but yesterday he was stopped in round 2. This is very saddening to see, he clearly should retire.
