It has, being harder puncher means nothing, Shavers was hard and Lyle was too but they didn't KO anyone good unlike Ali or Holmes who were not hard punchers.

It has to do, Ali knocked Foreman and he was not hard puncher while Foreman was and had great chin.

Kermit Cintron definitely gives Deontay a run for his money.

wait - until 1988, Tyson had a record of 35-0, including 8-0 in championship fights, and for the next 15 years he had a record of 15-6 and 4-4 in championship fights, do you see the difference? it's crazy when people laugh at excuses and call him a prime myth and claim that these three years of Tyson's career were such a weak era and suddenly boxing evolved so much and in the 80s there were no such strong boxers as Holy, Botha, Lewis, D Williams, K McBride

After the Douglas fight he went on a 15-3 run with his only losses to Lewis and Holyfield. The last 2 losses Tyson was actually washed.

"and in the 80s there were no such strong boxers as Holy, Botha, Lewis, D Williams, K McBride". We're really doing this and going to pretend Kevin McBride and Danny Williams are an actual point of contention here?

Most boxers have an amazing record then take losses when they are at the championship level. Same thing happened to Foreman, Ali, Louis virtually everyone.

but nowhere was there such a difference as with Tyson, such a sudden regression. From an outstanding boxer he became a brawler for a maximum of 3 rounds. Danny Williams and McBride are the benchmark. The broken Berbick, aged 40, was able to compete for 10 rounds with the speeding Rahman, Tyson, being 38-39 years old, i.e. the same age as today, Usyk was not able to withstand HALF the distance with McBride and Williams. There are still so many people saying that Lewis is older than Tyson so the result in the 1980s would have been similar, forgetting that it was Tyson who fought with D Williams. Was Danny better than Holmes, Spinks, Berbick, Biggs or was he just a different Tyson?

If your going by what he said in the Peter Heller book, he wasn’t the only old-timer blowing smoke.

Which McCullough fights were you thinking of? The only ones I recall are Zaragoza and Hamed. The first he underestimated the opponent and lost fair and square, the second he was ring rusted and completely unprepared for, thanks to his crazy wife.

Against Parker he blamed his performances on suffering from the mushroom therapy he had done. He also said that he thought he won, which technically isn't an excuse, but completely delusional.
