I'll take Tyson, just too big, strong, and fast for Frazier. He's much more technically sound, and I think that by the time that Joe peaks in the later rounds, Mike will already have the bout in the bag. Likely will end in a UD for Tyson with a knockdown or two in his favor, and maybe one on Frazier's side.

More heart is an intangible as is composure, I would agree yes those are better than Tysons'.

I don't think Frazier would beat Tyson at midrange or inside.

A great deal of any fight is intangible. Tyson minus his head space is a much more difficult fighter to best than he turned out to be in reality because of that very intangible.

Frazier doesn’t have the firepower or style to beat Tyson at mid-range but he was an active & extremely damaging in-fighter. Tyson was the complete opposite, sitting idle in the clinch.

I was only contesting the point that Frazier outstrips Tyson solely in stamina.

But Frazier absolutely had two-handed power. That’s a total myth. What he had was a one-handed attack upstairs, but that left hook only punctuated a bruising two-fisted assault to the body.

Yeah but Holyfield was taller and had longer reach.

Liston wouldn't come out as fast as Tyson and Tyson was faster, more accurate and threw better combinations than Liston. Not saying Frazier beats Liston, in fact I think Liston stops him, but I'd pick Frazier (along with Dempsey or Marciano) to beat Liston before I'd pick them to beat Tyson.

Agree with all of your opening points. Just think the countenance - Liston’s reach, physical strength, & the sturdiness of his long jab - outweigh Tyson’s advantages over him as they apply to Frazier.
