If Crawford wins (which I expect) the same bunch will call it a cherry pick based upon Madrimov not having that many pro fights and that Bud was a light heavy sweating down 6 or 8 weight classes the whole time anyway and why doesn't he pick on somebody his own size like...wait for it...

Proved me wrong. Not sure whether that means Madrimov is better than I thought, or that I over rated Bud. I had Madrimov winning 115-113 on first watch. Albeit I was very tired and a little drunk. I’ll watch again later today.

Not that I'm saying Bud is not a great fighter but he probably was a little over rated when people were talking about him beating Canelo. If he cleans out LMW that will enhance his legacy a lot.

But he was in with a fighter more or less his natural weight tonight who's clearly a very well schooled boxer.

I think people are overreacting over how the fight went. Madrimov changed his game up a bit. He put his feint control on constant and went with that instead of throwing the punch. I don’t think his complete abandonment of the jab, his most reliable punch, and the key to his offense, was by choice. It was taken from him. That left him relying on his right hand from the outside. Which,to his credit, he wa able to score with. But he was being controlled.
