How we scoring it? I'm at the stadium,passed and heavily biased for Simpson. Personally have him on top, but what's everyone got?

Would Simpson beat someone like Lerrone Richards off that showing? Doubt it.

 

Problem with Simpson is he doesn’t set his feet right so falls into a lot of his shots. Can lead to it being messy and smothered. Only 27 though so can work on it.

 

Tbf..he had to step up on Saturday against an opponent with the deepest resume in the UK SMW division whilst headlining the Sky show in a sold out (available capacity) stadium fight. He got a wide pts Win whilst been the only boxer to rock Chelli.
Simpson ticked a lot of boxes on Saturday night.

 

Richards lost his last fight badly

 

I don't agree.

Richards was boxing well and looked comfortable for 5 rounds and was even winning the 6th until he got caught with that hook.

A terrible ref calling a terrible decision doesn't change that.

 

Fair points mate. Was more constructive rather than a criticism. He’s still young and can iron out issues like that.

Simpson rushed in a bit too much as I'm sure their plan was to push Chelli back, as he isn't as good going backwards, as he is, if you give him space. As cullen found out.
Even tho the fight got scrappy, simpson was effective.
