It has been for a very long time.

It's a little strange. This country has first-rate athletes, and boxing is kind-of sort-of being taught again because of the popularity of MMA. You would think there would be some decent guys popping up.

    But nothing.

Easily Hunter who is winning again, and might get a Bakole runback.

Ya this has been a terrible year for USA heavyweights. Michael Hunter has to beat Bakole again to make up for it

Its been dead for decades but I still have high hope for Edwards and Torrez, especially edwards that footspeed at heavyweight is unreal and he focuses of defense, he really made Jalolov think like no one else

Torres Jr- has the Amateur pedigree and comes from a fighting family. If he has the drive, he could make some noise.

It’s pretty clear that all the athletically talented big guys go into other sports in the USA.

Which means that whoever is fighting at HW in the USA simply sucks from a basic athletic talent point of view.

The only real talent pool for a while now in the USA is lightweight up to middleweight. This is what the promoters have decided to focus on as well.

It's sad because you have the physical talent it's just not bieng cultivated into boxing.

In the UK if you're a unit looking to make money in sport either Rugby or boxing. No egg ball or basket hoop here.

ehhhh.... we really dont know yet. In typical American fashion, he's only fought bums so far. We havent seen him fight anyone with a pulse. He won a silver medal in the Olympics, so thats something good. He got sparked out by Jalalov though, so we dont know what kind of chis he has in the pro scene. In his favor, the top guys in the division are old as hell, and he might do well against the new guard.
