Not trying to defend Rico's dumb ass here, but what he meant by "anyone" is not that Bakole wouldn't have KO'd anyone else, but that not everyone would have been KO'd by the punches Anderson got hit with.
Even the biggest punchers in history don't KO every single opponent they face. If Bakole failed to KO someone like Ruiz for example, that wouldn't prove his power is overrated because Ruiz seems to be packing a titanium chin. So again, it seems that some posters just can't get it through their skulls that there are more levels than just "glass jaw" and "iron jaw". And if you get KOd by a big puncher, that doesn't automatically mean you have a glass jaw. A glass jawed fighter wouldn't get up once, let alone 3x against a big guy who can crack like Bakole and make it to the 5th round taking dozens of clean punches to the head.
LOL I say Its the punch you don't see coming that knocks you out LOL When I was abou16 I was fighting a guy that was slow as molasses just winging haymakers missing by a mile coach said' " just keep doing what youre doing you'll win an easy decision" I obviously didn't listen wanted to knock him out. I remember the bell for round 2 next thing I know Im being held down in the corner but trying to get up & fight LOL" The doc was a woman, a cutie too she said "You got knocked out do you have a headache." I remember saying" When I saw you I thought Id died & gone to Heaven & you were an angel" lol She laughed & said "I'm Hardly an Angel you've probably got a concussion though" lol Never had any ill effects after, but they said we both came out sparred a bit & both let fly with haymakers His landed mine missed Doc said I'd probably never remember that KO LOL he was right
There's a difference between having a decent set of whiskers and allowing opponents to land flush over and over again.
My old Buddy Tex Cobb said " They just voted for me having the best defence in the gym do you reckon theyre right " LOL........".I just stick my old mug out there & let em pound on it till they run out of gas then I just knock em out " LOL Great guy Tex
Being a wooden robotic fitness first trained boxer, with no defensive skills whatsoever. Well that is probably more responsible for his brutal KO loss than a glass jaw. There is basic defence you should have learnt within 2-3 years of picking up boxing. If you haven’t picked those skills up then maybe it’s not the sport for you. You just happened to be the big tall man who decided he wanted to try boxing and did well at it because you sucked less at it than the other guys in the gym.
Ask Larry Holmes about Tex Cobb’s Chin. He absolutely took flush shots for 15 rounds and didn’t even stagger. You nuthuggers are so clueless.
Maybe, but he was stopped by a guy who was a genuine puncher. He clearly doesn't have an iron chin, but it might not be complete glass. But even with a decent chin, with his awful defence he'll no doubt get stopped again.
