    Villegas given a standing eight but that isn't the disaster it might seem on the surface, if you're new to current Olympic boxing rules. The scoring is pro-style ten point must - but, suffering a knockdown doesn't automatically mean you lose a 10-8. It's up to each individual judge's discretion; if they feel you won the round (didn't have to dominate) they don't have to penalize you for the KD.

    Edit: see...four judges gave it to Çakıroğlu as just a 10-9 round, and one chose to make it a 10-8.

    WTF!!!! Ref gave Villegas a count in the first but ruled that Çakıroğlu just "slipped" there in the second?!

    Commentators want to see a replay. So does IB. :mad:

    it looks and is called a count but look at it as protection from a concussion and with no immediate scoring consequences so that you don’t pretend your not hurt which can be more dangerous.

    Eh…it’s a sacrifice for the legitimate sporting aspect for boxing to be in the olympics.

    a judge gave it as 10-8 so up in the air how you feel about it.
