And it's his mandatory, Canelo already lost one title by saving us the displeasure of seeing him toy with Scull. At least this fight will bring to big boxing markets together.

I said he has belts, I didn’t say he needs to keep them. He’s already established he’s the best, that’s not gonna change cause he lets berlanga have it. Nobody is going to question him about the waste of time. Then maybe a real star in the making can take it off berlanga, who is a journeyman in training.
Instead, each belt has to wait for canelo to fight the other belts nobodies, before they can get their nobody in there for 3% of the pie. Canelo could have made the Benavidez fight already, he knows that was the fight. I don’t care about the enforcing mandatory nonsense. The mans been calling for, and deserving the fight for years.

Like Canelo has said multiple times regarding Benavidez, he has always fought everyone the fans have dared him to fight, now it's time he gets paid what he feels he's worth to fight the fighters want him to fight.

    I get that.

That shows exactly what level of a challenge he believes it to be. He knows what the real challenge is worth.

Then give up the belts and stop calling yourself a champion.

    Duran went to 168.

If Duran can do it, so can Crawford who is bigger.

Mark Chamberlain needs a steer clear of his ass, it's only a matter of time before that Master Matchmaker Gobbler Alley Snake has his favorite boxer taking on Boots Ennis. Then give him the Jamal Khashoggi treatment when he gets KTFO.

    Your post makes zero sense.

If he doesn't fight his mandatory then he is giving up his belts. But you're criticizing for not giving up his belt by fighting his mandatory.

    Make that make sense

Crawford can get his ass knocked smooth out by Jaron ''Smokey Boots'' Ennis if he won't rematch Madrimov or pull a Khan and fight Clenelo. Fight an actual athletic phenom who can match him for reach for the first time in his life, and speed, instead of all these unathletic slow C level plodders with baby kangaroo reaches who he can keep at distance with his leg length arms.

Gamboa is the only real athletic fighter he's fought who was blessed with speed and physical gifts and that was a gross size mismatch

Madrimov's athleticism and movement caused him fits and had him looking bemused all night because he's so used to facing unathletic plodders devoid of any notable physical gifts or talent, especially ones his size, but he was green and has a T-Rex reach.

To be fair, it was much smarter to fight Nadrimov now than it would've been to fight him a few fights down the line when Madrimov had gained more experience and had actually fought some world class opponents in tough 12 rounders.

Mark my words, Smokey Boots will drop him multiple times and knock him senseless and it would be only the third time in his 40 + fight career he was facing a puncher his size, only this time one who can match him for reach

Yeah, Canelo is not alone in this (not sure I'd put Cotto there, though) but that doesn't make it alright

None of these guys were the top dog. GGG was his Benavidez.

Sergio's last years as lineal was lacklustre with poor challengers, no one after Williams was real quality. GGG was the guy to face.

JCC avoided rematches with Whitaker and Randall.

Cotto didn't face GGG either, but his reign was short and he did face Canelo.

Yes he's the WBA #1 contender mandatory for Canelo.
