I think Andy Cruz should go down to 130 and grab an easy title while he bulks up, cause 7lbs is a lot to be conceding especially in your first weight class

Did not realize that Steve Nelson weighed that much.

Remember when Serge speaks, the world needs to listen

I told you that Crawford has, all in complete contrast to Loma, very often been the much bigger or bigger guy, very rarely if ever at all much smaller, and that he was gigantic for 135, huge for 140, very big for 147, and he weighed more than career 154 pounder Madrimov for his first fight at the weight

I also told you that he's been rehydrating as much as 17-18lbs in every division he's campaigned in and that when he moves up in weight he's often been the heavier man, always has a reach advantage or a big/huge one, and even in his third division he was at worst facing opponents roughly his size

But Bud is a four weight champion doe and he came up from 135. Yeah, a division he was coming in as high as 153 for

Crawford for his 154 debut weighed a few ounces less than career 160 pounder GGG's average fight night weight. Let that sink in

You know, the same GGG who fought Clenelo x 3 ie. the same Clenelo who Crawford wanted to jump up three divisions to face. Clenelo weighs about 8-10lbs more than Crawford

Crawford weighed more than Madrimov even though it was his first fight at the weight

Observe in the post below how Serge combines his knowledge, logic and reasoning to reach his conclusion, a conclusion which, as per usual, has been proven to be the correct one without him ever having seen any of Madrimov's fight night weights or Crawford's at 147 and obviously 154

    My takeaway on this:
Anderson was in really phenomenal shape
Crawford we all know isn't small/walk around, that's why he's so strong in the clinch.

Need more context. Each boxer was weight after they stripped down to boxer and preparing for fight? As they walk into dressing room ?

I would love for there to also be a morning of official weight in before the fights.

170lbs .. Crawfords been SNACking hard lately... so if that's what he weighs overnight imagine what he weighs in between camps .. 185/90? Ridiculous.. the guys been fighting at LWW/WW for years... weight grifting isn't the stuff of 'p4p' for me.. its the opposite.. Haneys another one.. seems to be a trend with the US boxers... Crawford is cycling hard, we all know it.. & the moment he starts getting close to fighting people more his own weight he looks very human.. the Crawford illusion has shattered.. sick of these pansies shrinking down to small weights cos they cant cut it at their more natural division... they are an embarrassment & an insult to great fighters of the past.. they need to bring back same day weigh ins and stop the exploitation of the 24 hour hydration loophole

Crawford coming in as high as 153 at 135 a decade ago

As high as 157 eight years ago

He was clearly coming in at 162 at least at 147 because you could see he looked very noticeably bigger at that weight than he did at 140

And he's very noticeably bigger at 154

I said I suspected he would be coming in about 170 at 154

He was walking around at 177 six years ago, said he was 180 last year, Madrimov walks around at 174-175 now but two years ago he was walking around at 160-164

I observed some things. First, with exception of the heavyweights, all fighters came in 10+ pounds over the division limit. Nelson came on over 25 pounds. It appears that cutting weight and rehydrating over the division limit is now the norm in boxing. A norm that the honorable Loma refuses to involve himself with. Personally I think he wants to stay a few division away from Inoue, but that's a topic for another day.
My question to you, do you have the fight night weights of Crawfords opponents? I mean, if the guys he faced are rehydrating 1-2 divisions higher too, then it really doesn't matter.

Yeah, I've never denied that. Most fighters probably rehydrate about 10lbs on average, many more and much more than that

But it's not normal for fighters making the debut in their 4th division to weigh more than their opponent who is a career fighter at that weight

And the reason we're talking about Crawford rehydrating the amount of weight he has been in every division he's fought in is because we are compering him in P4P debates to fighters who are routinely fighting opponents bigger, much or way than them with longer or much longer reaches.

Crawford fans act like he's fighting much bigger guys than him when that has just not been the case which is a complete contrast to what Loma and Usyk have been doing

    Nelson is Crawford's gym mate

These are the only ones I know of

    Crawford 149 - Klimov 140
    Crawford 152 - Gamboa 145
    Crawford 153 - Beltran 147
    Crawford 155 - Lundy 151
    Crawford 155 - Jean 155
    Crawford 157 - Postol 152
    Crawford 157 - Diaz 161
    Crawford 169 - Madrimov 168

Horn weighed about 155 against Crawford, Crawford was coming in as high as 157 at 140

    Crawford 74'' reach

    Postol 73.5''
    Benavidez 73''
    Dulomre 73''
    Jean 72''
    Spence 72''
    Indongo 71.5''
    Egis 71''
    Khan 71''
    Molina 71''
    Burns 70''
    Klimov 69.5''
    Porter 69.5''
    Brook 69''
    Avanesyan 68.5''
    Madrimov 69.5''
    Horn 68''
    Lundy 68''
    Diaz 67''
    Beltran 67''
    Gamboa 65''

Loma is routinely fighting opponents who weigh weigh 8-15lbs more than him and even more against Haney with much or way longer reaches

Clenelo weighs 8-10lbs more than Crawford only with a 3.5 shorter reach

    Loma 65.5''

    Walters 73''
    Haney 71''
    Campbell 71''
    Commey 71''
    Nakatani 71''
    Pedraza 70.5''
    Linares 69''
    Ortiz 69''
    Rodriguez 69''
    Lopez 68.5''
    Rigo 68''
    Kambosos 68''
    Sosa 67''
    Crolla 67''
    Marriaga 67''
    Martinez 67''
    Koasicha
    Piriyapinyo
    Salido 67''
    Ramirez 65.5''
    Russell Jr. 64''

And Loma has fought many big punchers or KO artists not only his size but bigger or way bigger. Crawford has fought 2 KO artists his size in 41 fights: Madrimov and Mean Machine

And Usyk is fighting giants way bigger than him who can punch holes in castle walls for goodness sake

Looking at those weights just shows all the more reason for same day weigh ins like it used to be !

Nah he rehydrates 10 pounds why would he need to move down. Cruz has a large frame. You're just not confident in his skills. I think he could fight at 140 right now

What has Andy Cruz done to make you a hater already?

7lbs is absolutely loads to be conceding at the best of times, never mind in your first weight class. The skill is there to see. Why would he fight at 140 if he’s nowhere near even being a full lightweight yet?
