No, Pac was crazy overrated by a gaggle of sad Mayweather haters only because his promotion was 100% juxtaposed to Money. Monster is properly rated with no artificial fan base that exists out of spite alone. What is Pac's longest win streak? Alright, one needs excuses for their rating and the other guy's just makes sense.
It's not about how long your streak is, it's about who you beat in that streak. For example, from september 2005 to november 2011 Pacquaio beat; Érik Morales x2 Marco Antonio Barrera Juan Manuel Márquez x2 David Díaz Oscar De La Hoya Ricky Hatton Miguel Cotto Joshua Clottey Antonio Margarito Shane Mosley Pacquaio is just on a different level. Nothing against Inoue
Pacquiaos promotion wasn't juxtaposed to Mayweather. Pacquiao had his first PPV before Mayweather and it also sold more than Mayweathers first PPV. Mayweather was the one juxtaposed against Pacquaio as Pacquiao was the far more entertaining fighter inside the ring.
"as close as I've seen" - ok I'm with that, but he hasn't waded into a generational tide of ATG Mexican boxers and earned the name "Mexicutioner", has he? Pac is Pac. It was a singular, ephemeral accomplishment.
Sure buddy, most of his career isn't talking about Mayweather. Because his first PPV. That isn't dumb as f**k at all.
Ironic, this statement gives Pac more titles than he actually earned, then claims he isn't overrated. Thanks for making my point for me bro. I was really just being provocative and stupid, but you took it and ran like a demon so: Yup, 8 divisions bro, can you list them belts please?
I've never really thought of Inoue as the next Pac other than him being Asian. Manny has a janky style that is very hard to replicate and on top of that he is a southpaw.
Pacquiao was selling PPV´s before the got to welterweight. And he was already on P4P lists. In 2008, Pacquiao moved up to 135 and beat David Diaz for the WBC belt. At the age of 29, he was now a 5 division champion with wins over: Marquez, Morales and Barrera. This was a crazy run, but sure, it was all just Mayweather. Oh, and the same year Pacquiao again moved up in weight and took on De La Hoya. 15 fight win streak through 5* divisions. (* because Margarito was at a BS catchweight). Moved to 130 in 2005 and fought Cotto at 147 in 2009. Let that sink in for a moment.
Best thing about Pac fans is their excuses. I could be wrong here but dude's PPV career started a bit before then. It's just curious because your chronology is all over. Why start with 08 for PPV credit then jump back to 05 for name credit? Why not just start with when he first headlined a PPV and the promotion around it? I don't really get what your point is to be honest. Said a bunch of **** I clearly know, a fool what points out a fighter's streaks done been to their boxrec a bit bro, but you didn't really say anything contradictory... Just that I should be impressed. Mayweather was p4p king by 07? Why start with 08? Just convoluted bro. For the record, I said he's artificially overrated, not bad by any means. Just the last jabroni what tried me dudes, you gonna argue that jabroni ain't drank some kool-aid? Not even Pac's fault Arum was wanted to compete, but dudes totally think he's an 8 divisioner and they think that because Arum promoted it.
Realistically though a lot of these wins seem to be overrated. Why is beating Cotto or a faded Margarito a big deal? Or a shot Mosley? Marquez and Morales greatness rest partially on beating Pacquiao which seems like circular logic
