Well done to the Algerian lass to rise above all the controversy and take home a well deserved gold medal.

I've long suspected the key to victory in boxing was XY chromosomes.

Eh...a consistent jab and well timed rear hand will probably serve someone better.

I think it was @Brighton bomber that pointed out that a year or two ago Khelif was sort of middling on the world scene.

Remarkable how deep she dug in the face of everything this past fortnight, tuning out the BS and putting on the run of her life on the way to gold. :deal:

XY and a good jab is a lethal combination. Can't simply rely on the XY, though

Fair enough, but Larry Holmes even without the jab would be a decent boxer, an XX chromosome Larry would have been at an even bigger disadvantage when he faced Tyson.

It's true. Also, this is the first example in the games where all four women on the podium were beaming and smiling happily in the post ceremony photo.

...yes, in VERY stark contrast to when the featherweight representatives of both Koreas were cozied up shoulder to shoulder.

XY chromosomes elevated levels of testosterone according to the IBA who have no reason to lie. Amir Khan lost to Kell Brook while on SARMs doesn't mean he wasn't cheating. Same thing here.

A bloke with less experience would lose to elite female boxers until he got a bit experience then his physical advantages would take over.

IDGAF coz women's boxings trash for the most part anyway but Hermaphrodites and trans or any other biological males shouldn't be fighting women in the interest of fairness.

Here we go. Go on then do tell why they'd make that up only about 2 boxers. They'd have no motive to target those two and no others.

People are blaming "the russians", but if anything they'd target American or Ukrainian boxers with false smears not an Algerian of all people.

As an aside I'm not angry at these two people if they were born DSD, but the Olympics' should not have let them have fought women in Boxing. Hell, swimming, track, I don't really care, just not a sport where fists are thrown at heads.

Definitely I can't think of any reason they'd make up malicious lies like that about 2 random boxers without any particular motive. Both of the boxers mentioned blatantly look much more masculine than all of their opponents.

I think Imane Khalif is most likely a hermaphrodite and Yu Ting Lin is transgender from all the available information. It's no coincidence that out hundreds of female competitors these two have both medalled (could end up being 2 golds).

The reason you don't see biological women dominating men's sports is biological men have a massive advantage.
