BoxRec to no longer recognize the WBA

This is a very niche drama. To the common working man, it's Destiny VS Vaush level drama.

The thing with that is BoxRec have been clearly manipulating their own rankings over the years to keep certain faces on top or at least relevant.

 

Poor Fres Oquendo will not get his due when he finally beats Charr for the WBA "regular" belt .

Naaah Turki already playing G with his power, in for the civil war and curious to see if he will remain predominant when the dust will be settled

 

This is bad by boxrec.

Go look at the record Eusebio Pedroza on it now, he looks like someone who never got a title shot.

 

Boxing being boxing, everyone trying to grab their piece of the pie and tearing the sport in different directions. It's a big reason why boxing has declined, nobody able to simply come together and form a single authority to drive the sport forward, instead it get embroiled in internal power struggles that sees it damage the sport as one side refuses to work with the other.

 

It's kind of funny. Now Roberto Duran dominated lightweight but never held a title. Ha

I ain't used boxrec for years now so no personal drama but as for the boxers who's names all these cretins make all their money off I feel sad for them .
