Itauma's strengths suit Whyte's weakness but obviously Whyte been and done it could make life difficult over the second half of the fight if still there, I'd suspect he loses a points decision in which Itauma has to pass a couple of tests

I agree, but sadly Whyte would never accept it because he still thinks he’s an elite heavyweight which is hilarious as he had never even been close to being that. The Fury ‘challenge’ was embarrassing.

Whyte is inactive, surely off the special sauce after three failed tests and his punch resistance is next to nothing after the brutal AJ, Povetkin and Fury knockouts… Chisora probably beats him now let alone a hungry young powerhouse like Itauma

I was impressed with how Whyte bounced back after the Joshua defeat and he did very well to become a PPV fighter but he soon became a self-entitled big baby and as you say the whole Fury thing was embarrassing. Refused to show up to any press conferences then barely threw a punch once in the ring. I forget that fight even happened tbh.

Mr Eddie Hearn sold the British Public a huge pup time and again.

Whyte, Chisora, Joshua and Bellew good examples without any elite trait in any of them.

Ituma hasn't really beaten anyone yet. The Wach fight is good matchmaking from a promotional point of view because he's been shot to bits for years and is usually durable to an extent but even that has waned. Moses looks fast and being a leftie he's automatically he's a bit awkward.
    BUT
He hasn't had a legit puncher land on him and Whyte carries a dig. I could see Moses out speeding and outlanding him early but Whye has been the distance a few times and had landed KO shots late. I could see him grinding Ituma down and stopping him.
I think Whyte's time at the top is finished but look how long Del Boy has hung around grinding our wins against guys he's not meant to.
There's a big gap between even this version of Whyte and who Itumas has faced so far.

On the other hand ... Itauma taking a loss at this stage against someone like Whyte, is probably some he could wear.
Too early, but would generate a lot of interest.

How's it too early? He would demolish Whyte.

I like Itauma, he has passed all his tests with flying colours thus far, and I think he has the talent to be the next king of the heavyweight division. However, in terms of heart, stamina, punch resistance and other intangibles, he hasn't faced a significant test thus far, and it's not without question he will fold when embroiled in an actual fight (though I don't think that would happen). I think a test like Whyte is still a bit soon for him; for all his deficiencies Whyte has heart and can punch. I think Itauma should take a couple of fights at British level before moving on to someone like Whyte.

If Whyte isn't British level in 2024, then what is he? Whyte might have heart and might have a left hook, but he wouldn't get anywhere near Itauma who would shatter his glass chin.

I think the difference between Whyte, and the opponents Itauma has fought so far, is as far as I can see Whyte's heart isn't gone. Everyone Itauma has fought so far was there for the paycheck and had no aspirations of actually winning the fight; unless Whyte's passion for the sport has evaporated, this will not be the case if Itauma faces him. Whether Whyte's is currently at British, European or World level is somewhat immaterial IMO, as long as he is there to win and not just for a paycheck.

Whyte is a crafty veteran now

Knows all the tricks to use in the pro game

Whilst I have no doubt Moses is 100 times more talented, people would be foolish to dismiss Whytes experience

What does experience mean when he's slow, no stamina, chinny, probably not got as much desire to get up off the canvas, inactive, was never great to begin with? The other part is that Whyte probably knows all of this and wouldn't be confident like he used to be.

Who'd you go for if they fought in three months?
