Good for Opetaia, fighting twice in that period of time used to be completely normal. No reason he needs to take 8 months off after his October fight.

According to Boxrec, Ivan Dychko fighting August 21!

    Against 15-7 Craig Lewis.

I'd say its better than nothing, but it really isn't.

Hasn't Turkyi got a couple of bucks laying around for a 6'9" double bronze medalist?

He may as well go the Wilder route and fight 20 more Craig Lewis's to get his numbers up to impress casual observers.
Except, this is probably the one and only fight for 2024 with the next one due late 2025 sometime.

I wonder if the behind closed doors fight with Bruce Seldon was filmed, and if it will ever surface.

For me, Povetkin was perhaps the greatest HW never to win a legit belt. I followed much of his amateur and his pro career from fight 1.

I agree mate. He’s my favourite fighter of all time. Broke my heart seeing him stopped by Dillianabol.

Alongside this behind closed doors fight with Robert Daniels, Teddy Atlas who was coaching Povetkin at the time organised another ‘Gym fight’ with Bruce Seldon. He stopped him in the 4th round, knocking him down 3 times.

This was around the time he was mandated to fight Wlad, but Atlas pulled him out saying he wasn’t ready.

Teddy Atlas has ruined a lot of boxers. He set Povetkin back a few years - he was better before he was with Teddy, but became better again once he got away from that horrible old psycho.

Grant, Gvozdyk, Briggs, Moorer, etc. all declined after working with Teddy.

Looking forward to this. It's an open question now how Makhmudov is going to go forward.

Definitely one Makh can lose if he isn't careful. Would be wise to box more and take his time as opposed to headhunting. Vianello isn't the type of guy to just fall over, and he'll probably be looking to survive the early rounds, and break him down to the body later in the fight.
