I watched the last 7 rounds and gave Bohachuk 5 of them plus a KD. Apparently all 3 judges gave Ortiz round 12. How? Yeah I'd say this was a robbery. I'm going to watch the first 5 now.
If Spence actually goes through with the Fundora fight he is getting executed by the towering inferno.
Ortiz would dominate everytime he stepped on the gas, but he needs to learn how to box whenever hes taking a breather, and also setting up his shots needs alot of work.
A win for Bohachuk would be. He was clearly picking up rounds and had 2 KD's. Put it this way if you swapped the performances of both fighters around they'd be giving it to Ortiz wider. Fact all 3 judges gave Ortiz the last round they knew it had slipped away from him.
I think that was aside from 2 rounds, what was essentially the effects of a two year lay off and multiple bouts with Rhabdo rearing its ugly head. That was the one thing that terrified me about Bohachuk as an opponent for him, because he's relentless as **** and makes his opponents fight every second of every round. Which is a nightmare opponent for a guy coming off of that long of a layoff, and serious illness. So all things considered, Ortiz performed out of his skin tonight to have the gas tank he did, and ability to throw the bombs he threw in the 12th was actually insane. Mendoza could barely stay on his feet in the 10th against Bohachuk.
Bohachuk deserved to win, but with dishonest Las Vegas judges like Wisefeld, the promoter's fighter always gets the decision. Many of the rounds were close, but Bohachuk landed the cleaner punches, and blocked most of Ortiz' head shots. And he had the two knockdowns. Their respective faces tell the story of the fight, with Ortiz being badly marked up.
113-113 a draw. I could also see Bohachuk 114-113. I think with the round 1 ruling, the numbers just don't add up to Ortiz winning because I definitely had him winning that round as well until................ Although I personally think both of those KD's were questionable, that's what they were ruled as. After the 2nd kd, Ortiz turned up and won every round IMO
Bohachuk won that fight (because of the 2 KDs). How anyone gave Ortiz the 12th is beyond me. Was clearly a Bohachuk round. Anyways, I. had it 6-6 rounds which, w 2 KDs, gives an easy 113-111 for Bohachuk
Yeah, the 2 KDs make it very hard not to at least have it a draw Another thing which annoyed me was Rosado, who FTY I really like, was biased towards Ortiz and when the later started moving and getting behind the jab more in the later rounds because he was gassing and getting the worst of the exchanges, Rosado kept glazing him for doing so even though a lot of those jabs were hitting arms and gloves or missing and Bohachuk was snapping Ortiz's head back often with his jab which was being ignored. Even if Ortiz did deserve all those rounds don't ignore that.
I missed the fight but from the highlights it looked like Vergil was landing more clean effective punches.
