Why can't Bakhodir Jalolov get a meaningful pro heavyweight fight?

I think the reason he participated in the 2024 Olympics is because he can't get a meaningful fight on the pros.

He should be headlining a Saudi fight card, instead he's been fighting for low pay against soft opposition on Top Rank undercards.

Top Rank did a great job of promoting Jared Anderson, who is clearly not as good as Jalolov. Why won't they give that kind of promotion to Jalolov?

Top Rank also heavily promoted Makhmudov. I guess Makhmudov's got the look of a monster, but sorely lacking in skills.

It's kinda like promoting Taishan Dong over Zhilei Zhang.

I hope promoters take Jalolov's boxing career more seriously after his 2nd gold medal win. He may not be top 5 right now, but he has to potential to be if trained and matched correctly.

    No.

I'd like to see him fight one of these ten next: Andy Ruiz, Dillian Whyte, Joe Joyce, Frank Sanchez, Dereck Chisora, Jared Anderson, Arslanbek Makhmudov, Michael Hunter, Justis Huni, or Jarrell Miller.

Because he'd rather beat up on amateurs.

He clearly has no real interest in it.

If he really can't get a fight because he is central Asian, then he and Dychko should fight. Double bronze against double gold.

Throw in Nistor, who is out there somewhere busy at doing nothing.

These guys on the outside could stage a coup by working their way up he ladder against each other, and then only defending against each other when they get hold if a belt.

Or maybe if Jalolov is serious about the pros, he should focus on the pros instead.

Hate to downplay winning gold twice, though. In a way, its like a Formula Two driver winning consecutive titles. It's something you don't really need to prove again.

The Saudi's would be keen on promoting a Muslim fighter regardless of his nationality so perhaps Jalolov's manager needs to contact Turki. Look at how popular Khabib was in the UAE in MMA.

One would think! They got Kabeyal's back, who is a Kurdish German.

He's not done bullying the amateurs at the Olympics. He'll focus after one more gold medal

Can't believe he fought the likes of joyce who are now at the end of their professional career.

Don't get the Jalalov hate. Amateur boxing is a different sport. He might not have ambitions to be a top 12 Round prize fighter and many don't. it would be nice to see what he has but if it's a short career I wouldn't care.
