If Marciano tried to make big men like Foreman, Bowe, "fight his fight" as you say Marciano would be flat on his back looking up the lights.

Holyfield was fighting against bigger men how many fighters did Marciano fight that were bigger than him ?

Holyfield had more dimensions to his game he could box use movement and counter punch aka Douglas, Bowe 2, Foreman.

Holyfield could win in a war of attrition aka Qawi 1, Dokes.

Holyfield could fight a smart fight on the inside neutralizing his opponent with his strength aka Tyson 1.

Show me where Marciano showed as many dimensions to his game as that ? He couldn't box on that backfoot for one. So that would leave the overly aggressive Marciano very vulnerable to bigger Heavyweights.

Twenty three of Marciano's opponents were under 190lbs, and five of them inside or at the lhvy limit.

First, Holyfield roid strenght with weights and actual boxing strenght are two different things.

Bowe and Foreman were a lot stronger than Holyfield and they didn't lift anything.
Second Holyfield wasn't stronger than Tyson but had better chin and outlast Tyson with stamina which would not be the case with Marciano.

And not single of those you mentioned were all time great HWs or LHWs.

Holyfield never scored one punch KO except fat Douglas who was steuggle to live let alone fight, while Marciano is know as one punch KO artist.

Holyfield never stopped or knocked out any 200+ pounds good or great HW and was stopped by ex SMW.

Yeah, Marciano was stronger man and harder puncher but I know it's hard to admit for you.

Again, the most devoted Marciano acolytes would pick him H2H against the Predator or King Kong. Because I actually think it’s about more than boxing to them. The guy just represents something to them, I don’t know what.

This is cruiserweight holyfield vs Marciano

Why do people cyclically bring up Evander’s fights at 220lb where he was juiced & roided out of his mind

No juice involved. He just lifted weights, hit the heavy bag and ate lots of steak and potatoes

You better inform Riddick Bowe of that.

Did you watch those fights? I think they have them on something called YouTube.

Holyfield didn't have the luxury of fighting exclusively ancient has-beens and former lightheavies.

Botha was a good heavy. Rahman was a good heavy. Moorer was a good heavy. Tyson was a great heavy. Douglas was a good heavy. Alex Stewart was a good heavy.

This really didn’t have anything to do with H2H match ups just that Marciano was more skilled.
Also some of that wouldn’t make sense for Marciano why would he be countering off the back foot with his reach lol?
You’d have to also try very hard to convince me Evander was a better inside fighter than Marciano.

George Foreman himself in I believe the 2nd Bowe fight or the 3rd one comments that just because Evander is getting pushed around doesn’t mean he’s not stronger, Bowe is just heavier and you can’t shove someone around that big when you’re so light.
A sumo wrestler would shove around a great powerlifter it doesn’t mean anything for your physical strength.
70s Foreman and Bowe would be hopelessly outmatched in a weight room with Holyfield, he’d smoke them - but in the ring it’s got little to do with your bench press.

EDIT: Didn’t notice you seem to agree with me on this point.

Eddie Futch like Dundee never liked his fighters lifting weights.

I did, Holyfield was in shape fighter while Tyson was gone after the layoof.

He lifted weights, was slow and headhunter he also tired easy.

Then what was Qawi or fat James Toney?

Good at best, nothing more, as good as Chuvalo,Quarry,Ron Lyle...they were good but not top caliber fighters.

Holyfield didn't beat Bowe, Lewis or prime Tyson, his best fights are against ancient Foreman,Holmes and LHW Bert Cooper.

Foreman and Lyle pushed huge O'Halloran same way Dempsey pushed Willard, because they were stronger men, it doesn't have anything with size.

Liston is not as heavy as Bowe and Lyle wasn't too but they were stronger, strenght isn't only size.

Yeah, I don't think Liston or Foreman could bench as much as Tyson or Holyfield, but they were stronger.

Weight strenght and ring strenght I thing, are two different things.

In 2019 I had a sparing with a muscle boy 15 pounds heavier than me, I could not dream of benching as much as him but I was able to push him back.
