BoxRec to no longer recognize the WBA

BY USING THE DATA THAT BOXREC HAS SPENT YEARS COMPILING.

i think that is what boxrec will try to do. goading them in then when fight fax go "no we didnt copy anything, it's just all the facts of the fight". then boxrec just revelas one of the judges is a typo and sue them for plagerism.

 

this is like the Oxford English Dictionary not writing down 'Money', 'Grubbing' or 'B*stard'. because Penguin Publishers want to add betterer words from the thesaurus.

I am unsure and I do mean that earnestly not as a gentle version of I disagree.

As I understand it Fight Fax won the original bid for the entire ABC as official record keeper on the ground Boxrec has bad records ... which is true. The new WBA stuff is a mess but even before this their record keeping was misleading fans who delved into history.

TBH if Fight Fax uploads a complete library I'd expect it to be more accurate than Boxrec.

 

isn’t this exactly why they’re shutting out the WBA? Fightfax isn’t creating something new, it’s data scraping Boxrec in league with the WBA and Turki so they can have a boxing database they will have more control over

I totally get boxrec’s grievance, though their actions are the very definition of cutting off your nose to spite your face

it was a minor fight, Orlando Maldonado KO1 Juan Bruno for the Puerto Rican jr. Bantamweight title.

But it happened. And I was there along with grandpa.
