Same goes for old Holmes, and both Foreman and Holmes were over 40, Foreman was 42 Holmes 43 while Walcott was 38 and had no layoff unlike Foreman and Holmes.

 

And won 10 fights before those 4, and he won 2 of 4, he wasn't past prime but you forgot to say what happened before those 4.

 

Walcott was demonstrably past his prime for Marciano but really got up for the fight when it happened. Why did Marciano struggle, & why did he win? There was a little from column A & a little from column B at work IMO.

Foreman was an all time great puncher he was capable of rocking anyone at any stage of his career .He wouldn't rock Marciano,he would launch him!

Old Foreman fought over 30 times in his comeback and was never off his feet and never seriously hurt in any fight. Foreman outweighed Holyfield by a staggering 49 pounds remind me again how many world class Heavyweights Marciano fought with such a weight disadvantage ?

Marciano wouldn't even last 8 rounds with an old Foreman let alone hurting him.
