    The “prime Tyson” thing is probably the most tiresome and overexaggerated one in all of boxing lore.

    You do realise prime tyson could easy go 12 rounds and did, won 2 of the titles on points, tucker and bonecrusher.

    Even most of his loses were 8 rounds plus, he coukd take tons of punishment.

    Lewis made the best of himself? That's a ridiculous statement. The fights he lost he came in lazy and disinterested. Look at his preparation for the Rahman fight FFS.

    To be prime Mike it would have to be before 23, because according to all the Tyson fanbois he was past his prime anytime he didn't knock someone out in the first round.

    Lennox was older than Mike when they fought, but because Lennox was a better, smarter, stronger, more mature fighter, that didn't affect him nearly as much as it did Tyson. Tyson peaked at 19 years old. He never got any better or smarter as a fighter. That' s why Lennox is just better.

    Yeah very good. When tyson was drinking and taking drugs day after day Lewis was signing emmanual steward as a coach putting himself through tough hard training camps. Being coached by pretty much one of the very best coaches in the world ever. Never had any sort of drink, drug or relationship problems etc.

    I think i know which statement is ridiculous.

    Lewis wasn’t in his prime against McCall.
    He only lost due to complacency. A Manny trained Lewis would be super focused and would give any version of Tyson a beating.

    And Tyson was shot to bits against Lewis. Those tactics will always have success against Tyson but this fight is way more competitive and Tyson had a better chin

    Mike is not shorter than 5'10. Maybe now that he's older but not when young.

    Why is it a competition on who wasted more of their gifts?

    Fact is Lewis never maximised himself. Tyson being more self destructive doesn't change that one but.

    I agree with this. If forced to pick a winner, I would lean ever so slightly to Tyson, maybe 4 wins to 3 wins in a series of 7?

    @bbjc

    You're a Tyson fanboy looking to make him out as having had much more potential when I'd argue that the peak Tyson we got was pretty much as good as he could ever be and Lewis was ridiculed a Lummux Lewis for a reason. He was a notoriously lazy trainer.
