Haney got destroyed by 1 trick Ryan Garcia because they were the same size Haney couldn't weight bully anymore and he's featherfisted with no chin. Haney has low iq and there are certain traits a fighter must have to make up for it Power, Indomitable Will, Chin, Haney as none of it no physical or mental gifts whatsoever and must work 3x as hard in the gym to win I think it's unfair he should just leave the sport with his health and Booty intact before Garcia sends him to Diddy again

His chin is so weak that he managed to get back up 3 times.

His chin didn't help him get up, his, determination and courage did. The man does have a fragile chin though. That being said, Haney is young and skillful and with some careful matchmaking might/should be able to have a decent future. He's still a belt holder with options.

Haney should fight Shakur, Tank, and forget Ryan.

Getting up has nothing to go with his Chin. The getting knocked down in the first place does. Let me guess - those punches would have knocked down anyone!!!!!!! Right?

Remember when Haney was battered by Joe Laws in sparring? Without the PEDs helping him cut if they fought today at LMW every chance Joe would batter him again.

Lots of excuses now. Most everyone backed Haney to beat Ryan's azz did they not? Not to mention Ryan was acting absolutely out of his mind in the fight build up. Maybe Garcia is just not as bad as everyone thought.

Don't forget, Tank had a weight clause on Garcia as well.

I want to read @trackstar opinion on the matter

Imo Ryan could had a solid future unlike Haney and add more weapons to his arsenal, he's very green and is yo usual can crusher but his mind seems gone away.
And Tank would have beat him even without the clause because mf kept spammin left hooks lmao

I agree, I think Garcia was done once he got dropped. Just saying though - Garcia only got beat by one of the best fighters in the world, and just beat the hell out of a fighter that MOST thought was going to outclass him. Haney was a HUGE favorite.

I'd like to see how Haney looks moving up to 147, there's no way cutting that much weight can be beneficial to your strength and durability.

As I said before. Haney drains down too low. Which makes his chin weak, because when fighters drain like Haney does, the fluid around the brain may not come back to normal before the fight. This fluid is vital because it protects the brain against sudden shock. Now, if Haney does fight at 154- 160, he doesn't carry the pop necessary to get any of those guys respect. Also, those bigger guys may be draining down as well. Doesn't look good for Haney. He fights any higher than 147, he may as well wrap a pillow around his head, dude will be put to sleep on a regular basis.

All Haney needs to win is Tim Cheatham, Dave Moretti and David Sutherland.

They would have scored the Garcia fight a 116-112 UD for Haney.

    F tier thread.

I think Devin Haney is boring, and was a bit overrated before his loss to Garcia.. But he’s a proven talent both as an amateur and a pro at this point (even if I think he’s probably the least of the best fighters in his division, he’s still among them.)

he’s less talented than the best, but he’s beat enough guys in the top 20ishh range to where he’s clearly very talented…
