He's a much better boxer than Mbilli, and he went 51-49 with Benavidez.

MBili is a very good puncher. A fight with Mungaui would be very fun.

I don’t buy that the injury was the only reason Mbilli won at all. I’m sure fighting through the pain wasn’t nice but Derev’s only success with his left hand came from probing with it, which he could still do even when injured. If he had established a hard rangy jab in the early rounds before the injury I would understand that perspective, but that’s just not what happened. A hurt bicep is not what broke Derev down, that was Mbilli’s pressure

Won , possible. Stop him, I don't see it. I haven't seen it since he stepped up in competition. He is a excellent boxer with good chin that will fire back when hurt. I just think his KO is way overrated due to the stoppages he got when building up career.

I would like to see it, but maybe he's not quite ready yet. I could M'billi taking one more fight against Plant or Munguia, or go after the IBF to set up a Canelo fight perhaps in 2025 or 2026. In another year or two he could be the guy to dethrone Canelo.

Mbilli's chin is garbage, if he had two arms to tee off on him when he was stunned, he might've stopped him there.

Mbilli could not even obliterate a 1 handed 38 year old blown up MW. Plant would box Mbillis ears off. Mungia would be a 50/50 fight as they are not that good. Benavidez would destroy him in a few rounds.

Why would he risk losing to Plant and Mungia? Its not about being 'ready' for Canelo thats got nothing to do with getting the fight.
