When people mention Pac v Marquez only one thing springs to mind. I'm not saying he will but if AJ dropped and stopped Usyk that's all a lot people will remember.
Oh it will make a huge difference for the special cases. They will talk about how Joshua was clearly not at his best in the first 2 and should always have beaten him etc etc
The Joshua haters are already panicking and making excuses!! Like someone said, if Joshua beats him, and does it in style that's all people will remember. Im looking forward to watching the third fight if it happens, I enjoyed both there fights so this one won't be any different. Usyk should be the last thing on Joshua's mind anyway, he got to get past Dubois first and that won't be an easy fight. Dubois is 100% up for the fight and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he wins.
Because Matchroom just want to keep replaying that fight until Joshua wins. According to Hearn, Joshua is now the best heavyweight in the world after beating Wallin and a MMA fighter, even though a bloke who beat Joshua twice (as well as Fury) is in the division. I like Ben Davison, but it makes me laugh how Hearn & co are trying to persuade people that he would be the difference between losing & winning. You just know they’re going to try and shaft Usyk on the scorecards in the Fury rematch so Turkey can make Joshua v Fury.
Usyk has his number but a Joshua win would be the best in his career by a mile unless he waits until Usyk is in his forties.
I can't see the Fury Usyk rematch going twelve. Usyk knows he can hurt Fury badly and Fury knows that. I think Fury will have to try to get Usyk out of there or at least box on the front foot, and Usyk probably won't want to box on the back foot knowing how the first fight went.
I want to see AJ V FURY just cause it's different and it's a fight that should have been made. Bit like khan v brook taking too long and almost never happened. Imagine they both hit 40 odd and it hasn't happened. Same with Haye v Fury. Boxers just avoid each other too much. One thing that turkey his excellentcy is trying to do is make fights happen.
Sadly we needed to see Fury v Joshua in 2016 when both in their prime for maximum interest with World Title Belts on the line. It now has a feel of well past the sell by date similar to Brook v Khan where the Box Office mugs took a another big poking that night. Two increasingly aging men in their mid thirties with ready made end of career excuses at the ready. Either may claim to be great with a win over each other but the only elite genuine great we have seen in this era so far is Usyk.
Fury looks finished and it would be a huge upset to me should he somehow beat Usyk. Not living the live will kick a fighter in the eggs and I cannot see Fury at 36 defying mother nature. Usyk is a year older yet fights like he is 30 due to actually living the life of a professional athlete.
The propaganda around Fury and being in "phenomenal shape" is a load of nonsense. Warren and others have said in interviews things to the effect of "you only need to look at him to see he's in fantastic shape". He might be in great shape relative to his average condition but he never looks in great shape to me. His body has looked like a fifty year old man since he was twenty odd and his face has aged a ridiculous amount. I would favour Joshua to knock him out because of this. I think being big, in-shape, and with power is enough to knock him over and they are at polarising ends of the confidence spectrum at the moment.
